Provided by YP.comI originally had an appointment at another salon but they were a no show and one of my closest friends recommended me to this shop (and of course I went because her twist were very neat and pretty) before I arrived at the shop I was told that the service for box braids would cost $200 for the length I desired with the hair included and I asked how much is it extra to wash my hair and a price was never given all that was said was "we can wash your hair". Once I got to the shop I sat and waited for a few minutes and a lady came in and she asked to see the picture of how I wanted my hair, I showed her and she went on to further discuss that it would cost $230 and extra $10 for washing totaling in $240, ok I went to the ATM to get extra cash to pay for the services before she began. After she washed my hair and seperated it she started braiding and somewhat into the braiding she asked did the lady I was on the phone with let me know that it's $10 per bag for the hair? I said no she said that it was included in the price, so she kept braiding and once another woman walked into the shop and got settled she started braiding my hair as well and her and the other woman began talking to one another in a different language in which they were discussing the price of the bags of hair and how I was told that it was included in the price afterwards there was a moment of silence and the second woman, in the midst of braiding, asked if I could go to the ATM to get $20 for the hair. I walked out of the shop with my real hair AND with my hair partially braided to get the money (by this point I'm livid because of the mis/non-communication and me walking in public looking a fool) I get back to the shop and they finish braiding my hair well one of the ladies that was working on the back part of my hair thought I wouldn't notice that she started braiding even tighter (when she began the left back side she didn't braid as tight as the right back side). Finally my hair is finally finished not in box braids of which I asked for but in individual braids the size were completely different from the picture as well as the length the only thing that was right was the color I wanted. For the price I paid for these braids which was $260 all of my wants and desires should've been fulfilled, money does NOT grow on trees especially for a recent college graduate whose currently in grad school trying to make a living. Instead of being a typical person I didn't cause a scene, fuss or fight with any of the women, or wait until they were finished to tell them to take it down and start over. I simply said thank you with a smile and left. Oh by the way the business cards that were given to me said free hair on Mondays and Wednesdays and yes today is Wednesday and yet I still had to pay for the hair. I hope this review is helpful to others thanks Whoja Hair Braiding Salon but next time I'll just go elsewhere.
P.S. Don't feel offended the same thing I put in my review the person I initially talked to will be hearing from me as well.
