Something Blue Bridal and Event Consultation and H. Cachat Photography are subsidiaries of Something Blue BEC, owned and operated by Heather Cachat. Heather has grown up in the Berkshire and went to school in Dalton up through High School. She tried to decide what career path to follow as she enjoyed and showed talent in fields of interior decorating, fashion design, photography, creative, writing, art, and music to name a few. After High School she decided to study photography locally at BCC and MCLA and then moved to Boston to Study at the New England School of Photography. She then moved back to the Berkshires where she decided to go back to school. She graduated Mildred Elley with a 4.0 and a certificate in Graphic Design Technologies. She began working as a Wedding Photographer and Graphic Designer for friends and family and their friends and family, while she worked in retail to pay the bills. Working with the Brides as a photographer during their wedding made Heather realize how much she loved weddings, and how badly many of thee people needed a consultant and a planner! When you couple her love for these events with her creativeness, love for fashion, decor, music, and a photographer's eye for capturing an environment, the results are amazing.
