Provided by YP.commy name is Jim. i go to Castello 4-5 times a week and i absolutely love it. i try to change what i eat all the time and every time i go they have new wonderful specials and i never look at the menu. the Castello staff know how to make you feel at home away from home. the service is excellent and the food is to die for. I highly recommend Castello restaurant to anyone who likes Italian food, also the prices are reasonable. the atmosphere is just like in Italy, you get and smiling face all the time at Castello. Last Saturday i was there and it was packed but the staff, all found a way to make it happen with out any complaints. If you go to Castello on a weekend with out a reservation you may have to wait a bit, so to avoid that just make a reservation.

Provided by YP.comI've been here at least 5 times with different combinations of people and we always love it. the food is excellent, it's served graciously and there are constantly people asking you if you need anything, pouring more water, clearing plates, cleaning crumbs off the table. We feel like family when we go. The restaurant is an old Italian place whose outside looks like a motel--but inside it looks like Italy--not luxurious but pleasant. the prices are reasonable and the food totally fesh. Try the Castello salad; the stracciatella soup; the veal chop; the bronzini ( a Mediterranean fish); the duck in lingonberry sauce, the cold calamari salad and the pasta bolognese.
The deserts I've had were very good, Tiramisu, creme brulee are what I've had--they made a zabaglione in a copper pot and served it on berries. If you are a southern italian red sauce fan this isn't the place. they're from Montenegro, up in the northeast, and the whole family ran an inn at home.

Provided by YP.comI have to say that Castello’s did not impress us at all. The food was OK, nothing especial to make us want to go back. There are several good Italian restaurants in the area that have much better food and service. The parking is deplorable, and the service is that of a up scale dinner at best. I spoke with one of the brothers and he came across a bit arrogant. I live in Danbury and my wife and I love good Italian food. Fortunately there are three great Italian restaurants in the Mill plain road are. One of them being Racci’s in Brewster NY.
