Provided by YP.comDon't get your eyewear at Cohen's Fashion Optical at the Danbury Fair Mall! They seem really friendly at your first visit, and I'd felt they were really kind and helpful too when I was there for the exam. HOWEVER, they are very business driven and once they made the deal with you, they don't really care about your problems with the eyewear anymore.
I had a pretty bad experience here. First of all, the eye doctor was kind of bad. My eye exam was really short and I still feel like he doesn't have the numbers right on my prescription. The lenses of my glasses were slightly funny and he still hasn't found me a good fit of contacts yet after almost TWO MONTHS! The lady who was responsible for helping me to pick out a frame convinced me that she can fix the frame, which was too big at the time. So I went with that. It turned out to be a really BAD frame. It was too loose so she tightened the back a lot and it wraps around the whole back of my ears. HOWEVER, the frame is still slippery on my nose because the sides are too long, AND THE WORST OF IT ALL, it squeezes the back of my ears (the soft part with nerves and soft bones) so much and IT HURTS SO BAD! It still hurts me the whole day today even though I am not wearing my glasses at all.
Honestly, she is NOT good at fixing glasses, and she only cares about selling them. (Actually, her friendliness dropped when I decided to buy a cheaper frame too.) Even though I went back so many times, she just took the glasses and played a little bit with them, gave them back, and the problem started again after 2 days. She simply won't admit that the real problem is that these glasses are not for me, and adjusting them does not help. And right now, she refuses to give me a refund or exchange because they're over 30 days, which she never explained to me either.
I bought my one-year supply of contacts from them as well, but I am also having problems with them. The doctor prescribed them, but he didn't foresee my gaze shift problem with these contacts. I am really worried that she won't let me return them or exchange them for the contacts that might actually fit my eyes.
I don't recommend this SMALL store to anyone who think their eyes might need more time and effort to find the right eyewear. I've worn glasses for over 10 years now, and I've never had such a bad experience with any optical stores. I would recommend go to some professional eye doctor's office or MORE PROFESSIONAL optical stores. Cohen's seems nice when you're shopping with them, but if you have problems with your eyewear, they will NOT care.
