My second week back to school in 10 years and my internet went out and of course "after hours." After my friendly phone call, which I spoke to someone within the first couple of rings, we were given a reference number and said someone would be calling. ("Great when will that be?") Much to my surprise I woke up to a missed call and text from Robbie with a solution. Followed by an unexpected visit (on a Sat. morning) that fixed the problem. I told Robbie, "I didn't expect all this. This is definitely not how we were treated with the other guy (stupid comcast), this is amazing!" He responded with, "This is how it should be." Looking back, I have always spoken to someone instantly (the 3 conclusive times I've called including activation) and they have felt like I'm speaking to my neighbor. Bravo Home Telecom (standing ovation)!

This is one of the absolute worst companies I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with, and I have lived in a lot of different states and interacted with a LOT of different cable/internet providers. They are in desperate need of competition because the nonsense they pull is unacceptable. For starters, it took forever to even get service installed (they didn't have an install date for SIX WEEKS after we called to start services. they wound up installing after just FOUR WEEKS because they had a cancellation, but that amount of time is still unacceptable), and after it was installed, our services barely worked for an entire month. Even after they've "fixed" it, we still experience numerous problems with both the television and the internet. We had to call and speak to them so many times that it was infuriating even having to dial their number again. We were given runarounds about the bill and how credits would be applied for the services that didn't work while we had them, the bill not even reflecting them for a long while. We were told that our services were part of a certain priced bundled ($199 plus taxes), and they then tacked on extra fees to it without informing us for things we don't understand - not to mention how the first bill was DOUBLE what we expected it to be. They also claim that they never gave us the bundled price they intially told us (and that the bundle wasn't real) - even though two separate people told us we would receive the bundled price we signed up for. I'm sick of talking to them, I'm sick of dealing with them, but they're the ONLY provider in the area. They are a poor excuse for a business, a poor excuse for a service provider, and all around horrible to deal with. I literally cannot wait until I can get away from them. I would rather deal with the frustration that is COMCAST than deal with Home Telecom. I would rather swallow a cactus than have to deal with this company again. They don't even deserve one star. This company seriously needs some competition to improve all around. I switched to them two months ago, and am switching back to old providers as soon as I am able. I had a bad feeling when it took 3 days and 3 service calls to get my initial installation up and running. Then hit with a bill that was double what I was expecting! Run the other way!

I had service with this company from October 2012 to October 2013. It took hours to sign up because they never, ever answer the phone. It was the only option I had in my rental home on Daniel Island. So here I am in December of 2013 after cutting off my service October 31st with a December bill and guess what. Cannot get in touch with the company. Almost as if they do not really exist. Very frustrating, if you ever plan on getting customer service go with someone else. When I finally did reach someone they took a number for customer service and did not call me back for hours.
