Epic Customer Service Fail – NO CALL NO SHOW

Called City Cooling and Heating with a no heat issue with our furnace. I spoke directly with the owner, “Mark.” We set up an appointment around their availability for 2:00pm today. Mark assured me that either his partner or he would be there to get the heat back on.

2:00pm came and went. I called Mark’s cell phone – No Answer. The call was forwarded to their answering service. The answering service operator attempted to contact Mark and his partner, neither answered their phones. The operator sent text messages to both, still no response to the answering service or my call.

So we still have furnace issues and are finding another service. Unforeseen problems can arise we all know that. The lack of any form of communication is a huge red flag about this company. A simple phone call would have gone a long way.

Seems Mark and his partner at City Cooling and Heating have no concern for their commitments and customers as well as a severe lack of professional ethics.

Save your time and money. DO NOT CALL City Cooling and Heating from Danvers Ma.

Called City Cooling & Heating when I had a problem with my central a/c system. Mark was able to stop by later the same day & rectified the problem quickly & get the unit running properly again. The next day when I thought there was a lingering problem, he got back to me right away & explained what was going on & gave me instructions to address it. Things have been fine ever since. Pricing was in line with most other HVAC companies. My overall experience with City Cooling was positive. I'd use them again & recommend them to others.

Mark is my A/C guy at Subway in Ipswich MA. He is very professional, explains everything down to the last detail, competitive pricing, and overall a honest guy. Tough to find in this business. I would highly recommend him for any A/C or heating issues you might have.

Mark is my HVAC man for the Village Tavern in Salem. the man is punctual, well spoken, and a professional. He has serviced all my reach-in refrigerators, ice machines, HVAC, and replaced my entire walk-in cooler. He breaks down the prices, gives you options, and flexibility with payments. Above all, in my opinion and experience dealing with him, he is an honest man and a pleasure to work with.

We recently bought a new stove and refrigerator. We needed to have the gas shut off on the old stove and the ice maker uninstalled on the old frig prior to the new appliances being delivered. My husband works at Elias in Wilmington and suggested using City Cooling and Heating since they use them frequently there. Mark came and uninstalled as asked and then came back after the new appliances were delivered to install them. He was friendly, curteous and knowledgeable. The old line for the ice maker was not the right size but he left and quickly returned with a part to make it work. I'd highly recommend this company!

Mark, the owner, took the time to explain to me how the unit worked, giving enough detail so I knew what I was dealing with, but not too much that I was overwhelmed. This is a great company....would recommend it to my friends and have already! We had central air installed to the upstairs of our home early this summer. Mark was fantastic from the beginning--didn't leave out any detail and really took the time to work with us on where everything was going to go and how it was going to be installed. His crew was professional, clean and easy to have in the house. Our air is awesome and Mark still checks in on us to make sure everything is going well.

I needed to have my heat pump replaced in my townhouse. I got 4 estimates, one from Mark at City Cooling and the other 3 were from long time well established local competitors. Mark's price was by far the BEST ! He was very professional, showed up on time, completed the job as promised, cleaned up, and I felt like I was family in dealing with him. This was two years ago... then this week I had a problem with condensation in the closet where the air exchange is located... the closet had water accumulating on the floor. I called Mark late in the evening, he answered the phone, calling me by name ! He came at 7:30 am the next morning and fixed the problem...no charge ! He explained what we needed to do to avoid it happening again, and showed us pictures of his adorable newborn son! I will only have City Cooling for maintenance on my unit, what a first class operation, that treats clients truly like valuable family members ! A+++++ Rating !

Mark was a pleasure to deal with. We wanted to have him check out our a/c for the season, and we also wanted to understand our HVAC system better. He explained everything to us which will help us maintain and monitor it. Mark was honest, professional, and thorough. Mark did some maintenance on our system and the charge was quite reasonable, unlike the big companies that seem to do nothing but charge a lot. it's great to know he's there for us if our a/c needs attention in the future.

Our central AC quit on a 90 degree plus Friday evening.

Mark, the owner, was at our house within an hour and had a new unit in and working by the next afternoon.

He even drove to New Hampshire when a unit couldn't be had locally.

He treated us like family (we're not, and had never met him before that day.)

Caring, professional, and a job better than well done.

Mark is our new go to HVAC guy!
