Provided by YP.comOur family frequently visits The Puppy Den for our dog grooming. We have always been happy with all of their services. Karen and her staff are very conscientious regarding care of the puppies they sell, groom and board. I have seen the staff throughly review new puppy care and give out their personal phone numbers to call if there are any concerns before making a vet visit. This should make owners of new puppies feel better, especially for the care of the extra small babies since they are prone to sugar crashes which can be deadly. This store and the knowledgeable staff are an asset to the community!

Provided by YP.comOn October 31, 2016 at approx 4pm my wife and I went to the puppy den to purchase a shorkie we had seen online. He was adorable my wife and 5 y/o daughter feel in love. I paid for the puppy and was handed a packet Noone of the info was went over with me in the store. We went home all happy. The puppy vomited once when we returned home so we decided we would take him to the vet in the am. The next day Nov 1st the very checked him and noticed he was invested with fleas and his gums where pale. The vet provided us with nutrical as a supplement to keep his sugar Level up. And sent us home he vomited 2 more times then began to eat and play again we have him the nutrical to ensure proper blood sugar levels. On Nov 2nd at approx 8 am the puppy was found deceased in his bed. I called the puppy den to inform them as there policy states in the first 5 days that if the puppy dies of a hereditary defect or disease not aquired in my home the puppy would be replaced. The owner karen informed me that an autopsy is required to do this she was very rude and began saying we killed him by not feeding him. And that we should have called her rather then taking him to the vet. I'm skeptical of calling an unlicensed person that is an hour away to care for my dog when my vet is 5 minutes away. I proceeded to do the autopsy witch reveled the puppy had hepatic lipidosis witch causes anorexia and subsequently hypoglycemia. Hepatic lipidosis typically occurs a period of two weeks as I was informed by 3 vets. She offered a few dogs as replacement no of witch are the same cost that I paid or a 500 credit. My wife and I said no we don't feel we should have to pay any more then we have already and that we would except a puppy of the same breed. The owners have told us no that we would have to take them to court. I would stay far from these people as they have no care for there customers. My wife and daughter are heart broken.

Provided by YP.comI saw on there website they had a female Yorkie for sale. I walked into the store nobody acknowledged me. I waited patiently for the employee to finish her conversation with I assume a customer. After waiting for six minutes I left the store. I was there to purchase a female Yorkie. I wouldn't recommend this pet store to anyone. I called the store after I left to let the employee know how disappointed I was in the fact I was never acknowledged. I left the store sad because I was hoping to bring home a Yorkie today as a new addition to our family. My father is a Veteran with COPD and that sweet puppy would of been a nice present for Veterans Day.

Provided by YPmobileWe bought our precious mini schnauzer, Kodiak from The Puppy Den 4 years ago when he was a pup. He's beautiful and smart! He's also a trained service dog for the American Red Cross. Karen is an amazing groomer and loves each and every dog that enters her business.:)

Provided by YP.comWe love Karen and her staff at Puppy Den! We have purchased two dogs from her with a year and just love them. Before we bought the new additions to our family, we would take our female boxer, AK, there to have pampered. AK loved her visits with them as Karen would spoil her. We will continue to take our new members there for her to spoil them as well. They do a great job at grooming and have the best selection if you are looking for certain breed of dog.

Provided by YP.comPaid them to trim my baby's nails because i can't and when they break we have to have the vet fix it. They trimmed 3 or 4 and still charged me. He broke it off so back to the vet we go. Their condolences was a $5 refund.

Provided by YP.comBeware. I purchased a poodle puppy from them a few months back. I was told she would weight between 3-5 pounds and that both her parents where 4 pounds. That was a complete lie. She is 7 months old and weights 6 10 oz. I knew better to buy I puppy without seeing the parents, but I made my decision based on the information that I was given which was false. This is not the only issue. She is not the quality dog that she should be for the $900 price I paid. I really don't know how she is registered because she does not meet the standards. She also has some fear issues that she has had from the beginning. The vets advice hasn't worked. It was what she was exposed to those first few weeks of life.

Provided by YP.comPurchased a puppy here & took her in to be checked over by our vet and she is very ill. For the price they ask for their dogs & also representing them as 'vet checked', you'd think they would be taking better care to check that they're truly healthy before sending them home. They also have a 'no refunds whatsoever' policy so if your puppy is sick, you're just out of luck. The illness she has is contagious to other dogs so I really hope all of the others she was exposed to don't have it as well. After a nice big vet bill & a week of medicine, hopefully our puppy will be okay. So upsetting! Also feel I should mention that the puppy is 7 weeks old & was supposedly eating a mix of dry & wet dog food but that is not the case. She will not eat dog food of any kind, boiled chicken, baby food... nothing. The only thing she'll take is milk replacer which would leave one to believe she was not fully weaned from her mother.

Provided by YP.comPlease do serious research before buying a pet at The Puppy Den in Daphne, AL. The people are really sweet and the dogs are cute, however, we were told we purchased a Pomeranian with 2 Pom parents and it was a flat out fraud. We are not sure what kind of dog we actually have, possibly half Pom and half something else. Of course, by the time we figured out our cute puppy was not what the papers claimed...my kids were fully in love with the dog and we couldn't return it. I have heard now from many locals that this store sells puppy mill dogs and I believe it. My dog went into kidney failure within the first 3 months of life and cost me 6 times the value of the dog to save her life. Buyer beware.
