Provided by YPmobileWell, I thought I would give C Boan's a try last weekend. That was a mistake. Upon arrival, I was amazed at how disorganized the staff was. We were almost seated at one table (my wife was just about to sit) when some waitress yelled across the restaurant that our waitress knew better than to seat someone where we were. Made it seem like our fault, and at the least it wasn't a welcoming way of customers.
Now to the good part. Our waitress forgot what our drink order was and came back to ask us what we ordered about 15 mins later. During the interim, a guy I took to be the owner asked how we were doing and I told him that we were pretty thirsty. He went to go check on our disappearing waitress and got sidetracked solving some other customer's problems. When our drinks finally arrived, my beer was warm. Like it had been sitting out for 20minutes. Totally dripping in condensation, and somehow we decided to visit on a day when all the beer mugs "in the dishwasher". Unacceptable. Every Mexican dive in Florence has frosted mugs, why not a fine dining place?
Now the meal. Oh boy, just getting to the point of being served was painful. Our appetizers arrived 1.5 mins before our food. Unacceptable. And the quality of my steak was atrocious. I've seen better cuts of meat on discount at IGA. Medium for a thick steak is medium, the same way in Arizona, New York or SC. Medium is medium. Mine was done. Maybe it had some pink somewhere but I couldn't find it. Medium is just that, but the steak I got had burn marks on it from sitting on the grill for too long. Our waitress came back about 8 mins after slamming our plates on the table and told me she would "fix it". Starting over is the only way to "fix it". And given that it took them over an hour to assemble our order, I had no confidence that my steak could be "fixed".
Well, our drinks were never refilled, and I couldn't swallow the shoe sole steak I had, so we asked for our check. They tried to double charge me for drinks! After the beer incident. Well, the waitress took my credit card to the back and told me that she would "fix it". After 5 minutes, I saw the owner running around trying to put out the fires that were starting around every table. I told him that I was not comfortable with anyone taking my credit card out of eyesight. He said their card machine is in the back. Just another example of poor planning with those BOZOS!
Finally got my card back, and we were still double charged for the drinks! I told the waitress to forget it. I signed the bill and left a minimal 7.5% tip and let the girl know why. The owner mumbled something about coming back and to have a good night but I couldn't tell if he was addressing us or the wall.
This place is a joke. I've seen McDonalds that were run better than this place. I'll never go back, and I discourage anyone else from wasting money on this joke of a restaurant.

Provided by YP.comMade reservations for dinner and a concert. Got there at 7:30. Our drinks and salad came at 8:00, and by 8:30 we still didn't have our appetizer. Asked when the concert began and where our food was. They said the show had started at 8:00, and whoever took my reservation had only put us down for dinner. We'd have to pay $50 to buy out a table if we wanted to go outside, because the regular seats were sold out. I asked to pay for our drinks and salad so we could leave. They said no worries, our dinner would be out right away. We continued to wait.
15 minutes later I found the manager again and asked for the bill. She said our food was "next to be plated" and we could sit outside for free if we stayed. We agreed, even though the show would be over in 45 minutes. Big mistake. We were put at a picnic table in a dark corner in the freezing cold. Every other table was under an awning surrounded by heaters, and we still had no food.
Finally they brought my boyfriend's meal and the app, but not my meal. They forgot to make it. We were halfway done before we got our drinks, and by the time my meal was ready we were done eating, so they just put my meal in a box. The concert was still going but we were frozen, so we went inside to get the check. The manager asked if I had gotten my meal boxed up, and took my credit card in back. Some other waitress brought it back 5 minutes later, and we had been charged full price for everything!! Never going back.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I were VERY pleased that a 'fine dining' restaurant had opened up in town - well within walking distance - and booked a table there one night a few months ago.
The owner also runs Ward Street Cafe which we visit a lot during the week and there, they provide excellent service and excellent food. We thought maybe both of those would transfer to the restaurant.
As this is a relatively new place the owners do come to your table, giving the usual pleasantries of how are you etc., However, it all seemed to go downhill from here.
One of the big differences is between a restaurant and a cafe/diner is that typically you just have drinks and one meal at a diner. At a restaurant for dinner, there are several drinks (with refills), appetizers, main meal, dessert etc., and the waitresses seemed to forget to come back and check or take your order or bring bread etc., We constantly had to ask and KEEP asking. It is then that you notice the owners running around, helping the wait staff and while they look 'busy', you start to figure out that they are proving to be more of a hindrance than a help. Granted it was busy, and as I mentioned earlier, fairly new so we didn't give it too much thought.
We decided to give it another go last week after a long busy weekend. We just wanted to eat, drink and relax. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we first arrived but we still had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to be served. When the table next to us arrived and were seated it took the waitress 40 minutes to TAKE their drink order and another 15 to take their food order. How they didn't just walk out is beyond me - I would have! Again, the owners were running around basically like chickens with their heads cut off. LOOKING busy but just not actually doing anything.
Our order wasn't complete when it came, and when it came to paying the check, we had to wait another 20 minutes because the 'guy at the bar' was doing it - whatever that meant.
Given all these negative comments I know I'm making, the food here is delicious. It really is! The She Crab Soup, the steaks, the desserts, all of it is truly delicious.
When you can get it that is. The wait staff are VERY young and sometimes their young attitude shows - the girls at the door stropping around, chatting to themselves instead of directing customers to tables etc.,
I have never run a restaurant but I HAVE managed people. I think if the owners sat all their wait staff down, spoke to them as adults and told them that they expected them to act more maturely, discussed staffing arrangements and how to stick to certain tables and constantly make sure that the tables have been served etc., I would give nothing but POSITIVE comments because I truly believe this can be a GREAT place for dining. However, as of right now, I'll still head out to Florence to eat. In fact we have guests coming in from out of town next week and have already booked tables at other restaurants rather than take our guests here.
