I applied at Riverside Staffing a few months back when I found myself unemployed but nearing the completion of my associates degree. The offices were beautiful, smelled great and everyone seemed friendly enough. This was the one place that was actually calling me about jobs (I had applied at several staffing agencies). The unfortunate thing was they never fit my availability (which I pout on several papers they had me fill out when I applied) or my skill set. When one finally did (two months later) I explained how I needed to ensure that the hours would work for me and I would let her know. In the meantime I took the UA and a general aptitude test. I then called back later to explain that I would need a few days before I started and would need two specific days off (with a months notice, and they already knew this was coming) they had already signed me up for days I could not work and got furious and claimed that I agreed (over the phone, at that) to work times that I was unsure I could. Make sense? Needless to say, they wont be calling me anymore for work (not that the calls they did make really helped. A promising experience turned very disappointed and frustrating.
