The Scott County Sheriff's Office offers various law enforcement services. It also manages a jail that provides safe and constitutional detention for sentenced and pretrial detainees. The office s patrol division serves an area of over 450 square miles. The Scott County Sheriff's Office additionally maintains a record of sex offenders, as well as operates a civil division that issues weapon permits.
