I just moved out of winding hills about 3 weeks ago and I just received a statement from them for $177. As I looked through the statement I noticed they are charging me with things such as new carpet, replacement of light bulbs, stove burners cleaning... Their letter is stating they are keeping the $700 deposit and charging me with the extra 177. I called to inquire about these charges and no one could give an answer. I told them my dog is a 5 year old 17lb dog that is well trained and I would like to know where he made the damage. I was told everywhere in the apartment stains were found when the carpet had to be pulled off. I find this to be not true, since the dog is trained and we had the carpet professionally cleaned even though it wasnt necessary. Additionally there was a second room that honestly, I never organized because I was using as storage room, so i don't understand why this room had to have the carpet removed either. They said the burners on the stove and drawers had to be cleaned. I did cleaned everything, including walls, ceilings, closets everything. A few days after I moved I called to see if everything was ok with the apartment after they walked through, and I was told no one had checked over it yet. My husband called two weeks later to check on our left over mail and once again to see everything was ok with the inspection and they said they had not gone through it. When I called 30 mutes ago they said the property manager looked over the apartment the next day after we left... So we were lied to every time we called? it is extremely disappointing because they are making up stories to make money. If you want to move to move to winding hills you will have a great time, until you have to move out. Take into consideration that if you move, you will have to pay a similar deposit somewhere else, and additionally lose the previous one at windi g hills because they want to keep your money even though you did evrything in your hands to keep the apartment as you received it. I did take pictures of absolutely everything we used in the apartment including carpet, fridge, stove, drawers and closets, I would rather pay for an attorney then have them keep money based on lies.

MY relative once stayed here and I could not believe the amount of rent she told me she pays and the looks of that place. Paint chips peeling off the balcony, which by the way needs some support beams. the apartment is two bedrooms with two baths and is very crowded, The laundry room is the size of a small closet and their are no elevators but are three flights of stairs high. No playground for children to play in. The floors are very weak and covered in massive carpet. CHILDREN PLAY INSIDE THE STAIRWELLS WHICH IS DANGEROUS AND THAT RENT STARTS AT $650

I am a current resident at the Winding Hills Apartments. I have been here for a couple years, and have seen the quality of the management deteriorate drastically. I feel that they do not care about the residents nor the proper maintenance of the apartments. They are extremely difficult to deal with and cannot get a straight answer or a situation fixed when need be.
