Budget shopping online for a single night in the Plantation area brought me to WoodSpring Suites in Davie. Convenient to I-595, the Florida Turnpike, I-95 and a number of other major roads, they have a great location.

In town for a Bar Mitzvah and a later that evening party, I called the front desk around 11 a.m. to inquire about early check-in. Hotel was completely booked. 3 p.m. check-in was being enforced. Okay I said to myself - I will run errands and go to lunch.

Finished around 1 p.m. I decided to drop in and attempt an early check-in. Front desk clerk was Krissy. Immediately upon introducing myself, she stated, "you called earlier."

Krissy once again indicated that the hotel was completely booked for the Memorial Day weekend, but that she would attempt to assist with an early check-in if I left my name and number. I did so, then left to run more errands.

Krissy called around 1:30 and I returned to the hotel. Lobby and parking lot were clean and I was assigned to room 132. Service was friendly, helpful and polite. No issues whatsoever with Krissy.

WoodSpring Suites is an extended stay type hotel. It's a no frills type establishment convenient to all major highways. Kitchen, bathroom, and minimal cleaning service - you know this before checking in. Can't complain after the fact. My room was spartan and functional.

Seeking price, convenience, and location, I found this at WoodSpring Suites in Davie, Florida. 4 stars - an extra one awarded as a result of front desk clerk, Krissy.
