I think it's unfair to rate Pine Trails with one star. Not everyone cares about competing. Believe it or not, some of us just want to ride because it's fun!

Yes, there are a lot of pleasure riders at Pine Trails, but that's what I like about it. Pine Trails is the perfect, safe environment for young children (and adults) to get outside and learn about horses. Not only does PTR accommodate young children (3+), but they also cater to children with special needs and learning disabilities.

As a boarder I have never had a complaint about the way my horse has been cared for. He is out in one of the pastures and he always gets plenty of food. There are people constantly monitoring the horses (day and night) and the horses all seem content.

If you are looking for lessons and boarding in a relaxed, safe environment-go to Pine Trails. They have two big, (and well lit) outdoor arenas (and one smaller indoor) a brand new round pen, and they are in the process of creating an outdoor cross country field. Come on out-the footing is great!

I have been riding at Pine Tra...

I have been riding at Pine Trails Ranch for over 3 years now and have taken lessons as well as leased with them during this time. I have had an incredible time learning to ride here and I would recommend it to anyone!

Pine Trails ranch wonderful place for people who love horses and really want to learn, even if you haven't had a lot of prior experience or don't have the money to own your own horse. While many of their students are beginners and pleasure riders (it is a great place to learn to ride, or ride simply for fun!), they really do have something for everyone, even people who like to show and jump, as I do.

The owner and head trainer, Michelle, is very knowledgeable and has more than 20 years of experience training horses and she has a lot that she can teach you if you are willing to learn it, no matter what level of rider you are. Throughout the 3 years I have been riding here, there has always been something to challenge me in lessons as my riding ability has improved. What you won't get is someone who will point you at a big jump with no preparation, tell you to jump it, and then pat you on the back and tell you "good job" when you don't fall off. What you will get is honest, helpful input to your riding that will make you a better rider and allow you to jump that big jump WELL.

Pine Trails has a show team that goes to local SAHJA approved shows and other local schooling shows. We primarily do these types of shows because they allow us to have a good time showing without burning too much money on the expensive show fees at more costly rated shows, however if you are interested in spending the money to go to these sorts of shows, I am sure the Pine Trails show team would be a supportive environment to do that in.

Its a okay place to start ridi...

Its a okay place to start riding, teaches you some good horsemanship but if you are wanting to do serious shows and jump higher than a crossrail go somewhere else. The people are nice, but you get what you pay for when it comes to the "training". They only go to little schooling shows around the area, so if you like to show and want to learn good equitation and do serious jumping this is not your place. they don't have anywhere to turn your horse out and the stalls are in need of a lot more bedding. I know many people who have ridden here and I also took some lessons and it is not up to par with my standards of horse care, to say the least.
