Best place ever to board your dog!

Surprised about the lost dog, Been going there for years and never have had an issue. Owners have always been courteous to us and loving to our 3 dogs.

Country Home Kennels is the only place I would take my dog Stevie. He had bitten several people over the years and I was leary about leaving him anywhere, which made it difficult to go out of town. Jean & Greg understood his quirky personality and he received excellent care while being boarded with them.

We used Country Kennel last Summer and while on our way to Washington DC they lost our golden lab! We were told that our dog escaped as they entered the run trying to feed our dog. The gate was left open and then someone entered the door to the run and our dog escaped! Our vacation was ruined while trying to get info on if our dog was found! There is no perimeter fence on the runs or the entire Kennel as a preventative measure of any escapes! Also, talking to the owners it sounded like this was not the first time! No true appology/remorse from owners! My 11 year old daughter knew that this was a bad place because the Woman (owner) had yanked the leash of her Chihuahua to get her to go with her! Sometimes kids can read things adults cant! Anyhow, I RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! DONT JUST LOOK AT PRICE! PAY MORE ATTENTION TO PREVENTATIVE FENCING/HOLDING AREAS AND ASK QUESTIONS! MOST KENNELS THAT HAVE BETTER SECURITY WILL COST MORE! Oh yeah, our dog was found 10 days later at a kennel down the road! Happy ending but BIG LESSON FOR US! STAY AWAY!
