I had a horrible experience to...

I had a horrible experience today at Jo-Ann Fabrics. I wanted to make Indian vests for my kindergarten class. I printed off a coupon from the internet and drove to Jo-Ann Fabrics. I went to the register, showed my coupon, and asked if they would accept it. The manager looked at it and said, "Yes." I chose the fabric and had 12 yards cut. I'm at the register to pay for my merchandise and I said that I was a teacher. I handed her my card and noticed it was expired. I said I needed a new one. I was told I had to provide a paystub. Since my school is doing a great job saving trees by emailing our pay notices to us, I couldn't produce one. I offered my ID badge and my insurance card which clearly names my school. It still wasn't good enough. By this time a nice lady spoke up and said, "Honey, get the manager." The lady told the manager that she was a retired teacher. Pay stubs are paperless today. Her insurance card proves she is a teacher." The manager said that they had a person who received a 15% discount when she no longer worked for the school. I thought to myself...big deal...I spend a few thousand dollars every year on my classroom. A small discount doesn't even come close to how much teachers give for students. Well...I finally got a new discount card. I was grateful and presented my merchandise. She rang it up...and wouldn't take my coupon. I reminded her that I showed her the coupon when I entered the store and she said she would take it. She said she thought it was something else...I walked out of the store with no fabric for my students.
