Established in 1917 and headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Air Force Materiel Command is a department of the United States Air Force. It conducts tests, evaluation and research and development studies for the armament, navigation, guidance, command and control systems. It additionally operates various centers, such as the Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Armament Center, Electronic Systems Center and Arnold Engineering Development Center.
