55 year old female who has had right hip replacement 3- years ago. My left hip now needs to be replaced, so I decided to try this group....I have moved about an hour away from my current Orthopedic and live alone, so thought I would give Othopaedic Group of Daytona Beach a try. Got appointment very quickly, the next day. Filled out all paperwork on line and brought it with me. Arrived at 1:30 for my 1:45 appointment. Waited 1-1/2 hours in over crowded stuffy small waiting room. Was taken back for an xray, then eventually seen by a "PA". They did an exray of my hip while standing up, as opposed to the many xray's taken by my current Ortho laying down. Now, I've been down this road before... was not happy to be getting advise from a PA, who wanted me to try an out patient procedure before moving forward. A huge needle they stick in your hip bone that if you are lucky, maybe you'll get a few months of pain relief... When I said no, (had same thing done on my right hip, did nothing to relieve pain, but cost about $1,500.00), only THEN did Dr. Todd McCall come in. He also wanted me to try the hip injection.... I point blank asked him if I had the injection how long would the pain relief last, if at all. Have no idea what he thought process was... Reviewd the they had taken on a copied piece of paper. Orlando Othopedic and Dr. Rosen, on the other hand went over with me several real xray's, explaining in great detail to me the oroblem area's. With the real xray, not a poorly copied black and white paper copy. Called Orlando Orthopedic on my way home and scheduled my surgery.... will make arrangements for the 1- hour hospital drive. This place is aptly named as a "Clinic".... Would not recommend to anyone. Make the drive to Orlando if you can. The "PA" appeared to be the one making decisions.... or at least that was the impression he gave. One last note... people were waiting just as long for their physical therapy appointments. It's a room that looks like a hotel gym at best. Orlando Orthopedic has top notch, proffesional facilities that take you the minute you walk in for your appointment.

IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE ON WORKERS COMP YOUR ARE SCREWED! MARK GILLESPY IS ONE OF THE RUDEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTORS I HAVE EVER MET! HE TOLD ME POINT BLANK THAT I WAS TO PROBLEMATIC FOR HIM AND HE WAS GOING TO HONOR MY SECOND OPINION! THANK GOD HE DID BECAUSE HE MISDIOGNOSED MY SPRAINED MUSCLE IN MY LOWER BACK BY SENDING ME TO PHYSICAL THEROPY FOR 3 WEEKS! DR HATCH ORTHOPEDIC OF ORMOND BEACH FOUND THE PROBLEM AND TOOK CARE OF ME AND TREATED ME WITH DIGNITY & RESPECT!
