New owners took over July 2018 store looks amazing. They are always trying to make improvements. Always treated with respect and never pushed or pressured to make a purchase.

I buy all my reptiles from this store. They do in fact take care of their animals, i know the owners very well, the whole family. they are very friendly and go out of their way to help you out. The cages are clean the animals are very healthy i have 4 from them, 2 dragons, and 2 other different types of gekko's. i have never had an issue with any of them when in the past i have gotten dragons from mainstream pet stores and they have all died. I wont go to any other pet store i love Scales and Tails :) see you soon!

First off before Anyone wastes their time or gas driving here you should know its the dirtiest pet shop ive EVER been in. The snakes have mites and their cages are never cleaned. No water! Not only are the reptiles not cared for and unhealthy the owner is a Total drunk ahole and on drugs. Numerous occasions we could smell alcohol on his breathe and he was very rude to us. He yelled at our kids saying keep your damn hands off my tanks. He has NO business owning a pet store and this store should be shut down! Please help these poor pets!

We went there to get a turtle and the things we needed for it. It was an awesome experience. The last working was awesome, very helpful and polite. She helped us get the necessary items and she even set up our tank for Definitely give this place a try!

I love this place, I've gone here many times, and all of the animals look healthy, and their cages clean. All of the staff I have met there have been very helpful!

Must go best animal store in town friendly environment, lots of animals ,and also have the two main shop pet, the albino raccoon (Caspar) and the ring tailed lemur(mo mo).

Disappointing. I went to this store based on the good reviews below, but there weren't any great animals and I couldn't ever find a staff person to help me. Prices were high too. Bummer.

This place is what we have needed for a long time, been waiting for them to open for months, clean, knowledgeable, friendly. We in the reptile world have needed a place such as this and even if not into reptiles the fish are great also.......by all means even if you don't own either, it is worth a trip to see their place, Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless of if your are new or experienced to the reptile world you need to swing by Scales & Tails. This store is clean and professional while at the same time they are extremely knowledgable about products and reptiles. Very kid friendly and they love to answer questions. Another great point that keeps me coming back is that they are not pushy sales people telling we why I "have to" buy their products. They give you the facts and let you make your own decision.
