When my dachshund ate some rat poison on a Sunday, Dr. Holt stayed on the phone with me, instructing me about how to induce vomiting. She was calm and encouraging, and we saved my dog. I made several phone calls to her, and she to me, and then she went to the clinic to get meds for my dog-- and all this on a Sunday! This is an excellent clinic, and the vets are top-notch.

Dr. Holt at Dekalb Animal Hospital certified the health of the puppy we purchased from a breeder in Avery, Texas. Her certification was signed two days before we got him. This puppy ended up being infested by fleas and ticks and had giardia. These are all situations that could have been easily avoided by the breeder in partnership with a good vet. As a result, we have incurred extraordinary vet bills trying to get this puppy healthy, not to mention extermination charges and the worry our family has incurred because of the flea infestation. This puppy should have been treated before going to a new home. I would use extreme caution using these veterinarians.
