Sad, but true

I have a daughter with special needs and has been getting service at Counrtyside. The staff has been very difficult to work with and leaves me with little options. I am not rich enough to pay for good care. I am over income for SSI. I have no chooses and the staff at Countryside knows that. They can run around thinking they are so smart and not really caring how their action hurt the families in the district. I have been happy with the other school's in Desota, but not countryside learning center. Just do what you can to protect your child.

Beware!!!

The elementary schools have a lot of new and young teachers that, IMO, do not know how to teach. They come across as if they worry more about their summer tan then your child. The Countryside Learning Center for children with special needs and esl classes for child under the age of 6 is not what I would call very good. They will not work with parents, will not explain processes, or treat you nice, well that is my experience. If you ask questions, then they get upset with you. They expect you to just trust them, but will do nothing to earn your trust. They have a school psycholist with just a masters, not real psychologist with a Ph.D. I really wish I did my homework before moving into the area. My child's doctor said she heard this was a good dist., but did not know much else about it. I have been talking to her about our frustration and she feels bad about suggesting going to the school. We cannot afford much private care, so we are kind of up the river with out a paddle!!!! Again, this is all my opinion and how I feel about what we have been through.
