North Platte High School provides learning opportunities for more than 240 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers classes in a variety of subjects, such as language and fine arts, remedial reading, mathematics, science, business, industrial technology, journalism, social studies and computer education, as well as Spanish and French. North Platte High School also administers art, band, choir and physical education programs. It participates in a range of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, weight training, football, softball, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field. Additionally, the school provides vocational training in diesel mechanics, electronic technology, health services, building construction trades, marketing, management and practical nursing. It is a part of North Platte R-1 Schools, which also maintains elementary, junior high and intermediate schools.
