We ordered a spray for my father's funeral and they did not have it in on time. 3 more arrangements were ordered and they could not complete any of the orders by the time of the service. My boyfriend and I purchased one separate arrangement aside from the spray and they sent a plastic vase of colorful wild flowers instead of the white roses we ordered. They gave us a refund to the spray but had to go through a customer service line for the refund on our separate arrangement. They agreed to refund $27, but finally received our full refund only when we called the florist directly and told them this was not any where near what we had ordered for my father nor did I feel it was appropriate to send a colorful bouquet for someone that meant the world to my family and I. Will not be recommending Mary Burke's to anyone. I'm so disappointed and truly upset. I know that flowers aren't a big deal to most, but we expected more from a florist that has been around for some time. My job in Colorado sent a beautiful spray from a florist shop in Trinity that closes on Holidays. Sadly, the funeral home is not associated with the shop from Trinity but the fact that they had it in on time and it looked wonderful meant so much to us. It's not an excuse to refuse to make a spray because of a holiday when the spray was ordered with ample time before the weekend started. I apologize for the long review but I'm truly appalled at how business was handled here and no apologies can make up for the spray or the mistake they made in thinking "Hey, we're out of the roses but let's send a colorful bouquet with no roses and a plastic vase instead."

Provided by YP.comI ordered a colorful (mainly purple) bouquet to give my 8 year old daughter @ her award ceremony. I specifically asked for a BOUQUET not an arrangement. I got: not 1 twig of purple only pink & white- hardly colorful & it was in a huge ugly pink vase. How is an 8 year old going to hold that while accepting her award? I didn't have time to dispute the contents. They offered to wrap it as a bouquet & took it in the back room where they bad mouthed ME for not specifying an "arm" bouquet. It was returned to me wrapped in TISSUE PAPER. Guess what happens to tissue paper when wrapped around wet stems? If they had questions about what I wanted they should have asked for clarification when I ordered. I was still charged $50.. what I received wouldn't have been worth $50 even w/the vase! By the time I gave my daughter her flowers, the tissue paper had dissolved into a disgusting green mess. Could've bought better quality & $ @ the local supermarket w/better customer service.

Provided by YP.comTHEY FAILED TO DELIVER FLOWERS...TWICE! I ordered flowers for my niece's graduation and they were NOT DELIVERED on the scheduled day or the day after. Two days went by and THEY DID NOT CALL ME to let me know they had trouble delivering. (My family was home all day to prepare for the party, but they said they had tried. I verified they had the correct address, their cell number, and mine.) When the recipient contacted them they claimed to know nothing about the order, then they scheduled for delivery first thing the next morning (2 days late) and THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP!! That afternoon I called the florist to inquire about it and she was immediately defensive and RUDE. She said it was NOT THEIR POLICY TO CALL PEOPLE WHEN THEY COULDN'T DELIVER THE FLOWERS. I was told I had 2 choices: they could deliver them that afternoon or I could get a refund. I asked that the flowers be delivered that afternoon. A few minutes later the same woman called back and said she was canceling my order. She seemed angry that I suspected they had forgotten about the arrangement, and she refused to deliver flowers to my niece. I called a few days later and spoke with the owner, who admitted he had FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE DELIVERY. Even then NO ONE WANTED TO APOLOGIZE! I got a half-hearted apology only after I pointed out that I had spoken with three different people, including the owner, and not one of them had said they were sorry about the incident. I have been using this florist for years but I won't be ordering from them again.
