Childhood is the period in life of greatest growth and development of the body. With their many years of training and experience, pediatricians can recognize the difference between normal and abnormal child development and detect potential health problems before they become serious. Your child's doctor becomes like another member of the family, who, as your child grows, also grows in the knowledge of your child and family. Monday - Thursday Closed 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Johnson is Rude. She never smiles. Her office caused my child's strep and upper respiratory infection to go undiagnosed until we went elsewhere. She does not document things thoroughly. Geniunely acts like she would rather not be there or that you are beneath her. Not thrilled w the nurses either.
I am not sure about the newer doctors recently added on, though I do know at least one will not come nor call the ER back during emergency. They use hospitalist.

We love Dr. Johnson. She is so good with kids and so patient. They are more than happy to go over and above to help with anything you need. They don't make you feel silly for brining your child in on a mother's instinct. We have both of our kids there and would highly recommend Milestones!

I will stay away from this practice..

I made two appointments for my daughter as her regular pediatrician retired, I needed to find a new Dr. I went to Milestone and also to Kids town to see which Dr would be a good fit for us. I then received a call from Milestone saying they would not see my daughter anymore because I had taken her to a Dr besides them.. I explained the situation and even called the manager " Nick" at Decatur General who said he would call them and call me right back. He did not call back. The staff was unfriendly, the manager unhelpful, no one could get their story straight .

Very disappointed in this office. The doctor was very haughty and said that my child's symptoms had resolved just because he wasn't crying and puking in the room with her. Well guess what he was hurting and vomiting all night which made 2 nights in a row. He became dehydrated and we were in the ER the next morning at 7:30 for fluids and when I told the ER doctor that I had seen the pediatrician at 4pm the day before and she had only prescribed Zantac he said that would not have helped his condition at all. When I called and complained the office became very difficult. This doctor is full of herself and she's not even that good at what she does. I would not recommend this office!!!!

Amenities
The pediatric unit at Parkway Medical Center serves young people age 18 and under and boasts many special touches: Colorful private rooms and hallways creating a cheerful environment Two adolescent/teen rooms Playroom Video library and VCR/DVD's in every room Family refreshment center Special menus for kids Guest Tray for adults staying with child Because we know how important it is for children to have a "safe" place to rest and recover, we only perform painful or "scary" procedures, such as injections, in a dedicated pediatric treatment room. This allows the child to always feel safe and secure in his/her room. The nursing staff is trained to make procedures as comfortable and painless as possible. In caring for our pediatric patients, we also allow additional treatment time for nurses to apply medications to numb the skin prior to IV's, and our nurses are certified in the use of local anesthesia.
