Just had a tonsillectomy. Was given a prescription for Vicodin (a controlled substance) to take 15MLs every 4 hours. They didn't have enough for a full prescription, so they gave me a partial. Today, I got the remainder - which means I'm going to run out before their pharmacy opens (which means excruciating pain). According to the pharmacy employee - I obviously have a problem and should call my doctor if I'm taking THAT much of a narcotic.. (Um, I'm going to RUN OUT before the pharmacy opens, but apparently that makes me a drug addict.. ya know, having had tonsils out at age 39, and I actually want to take the prescribed dosage, but they didn't have enough in stock to give the full prescription.. now I'm the bad one for not wanting to hurt.. (Yeah, I was literally told that I have a problem with controlled substances and that I should call my doctor... and not just by this ONE employee, but by the one who she handed the phone to as well - after I asked to talk with someone else......and at this point, I was in uncontrollable tears). Thanks, Wal Mart... for your........abuse? ...and I hadn't even done anything wrong, just wanted to have enough medication to last until their pharmacy opened..that's all...
