Provided by YP.comI am a seasonal camper at Leisure Valley. This is in response to RLSoryu1's review. First of all, My family and I own the camper on the lot directly above where the "large group of tent campers" were camping. They arrived late and had to set up camp. Not an easy task in dark of night. They also had many children with them. While not 40 feet from the bulk of the groups' sites, with our bedroom window open, we were only slightly aware of they're presence. We cannot comment on the stolen bike thing as we were not aware of the situation.(pretty far fetched that we would not hear about it). We had no complaints about this seemingly respectful group. Also, the dog mentioned in the review only got away from them 1 time and was quickly recovered.(nothing terrorizing) This is FACT. It is my opinion that RLSoryu1's review is not very credible. My wife and I picked up debris after the weekenders left(as we do from time to time to be helpful),and the sites in question were cleaner(by far) than most. As I said earlier, I am seasonal at Leisure valley. My family and I love the campground and like the family that owns it very much. I would recommend Leisure Valley to anyone anytime. Come judge for yourself. My family and I are there most weekends and would tell you in person.

Provided by YP.comThis is in response to RL Soryu1's review. First of all, I'm a seasonal camper at Liesure Valley. My family and I own the camper on the lot directly above where the "large group of tent campers" were camping. They arrived late and had to set up camp. This is no easy task in the dark of night. There were also a lot of children in the group. While making some noise(impossible to be very quiet while striking camp) they set up they're sites. With them probably not 40 feet from our open bedroom window, my family and I were only slightly aware of them. We did not witness anything bad about the group. We were there when they pulled in and there when they left. They, for the most part, were very respectful and very cleanly. My wife and I walked around picking up debris to be helpful(as we do from time to time). The sites where this group stayed were absolutely spotless. Way cleaner than most sites after a weekend. It is my opinion that RL Soryu1 is not a very good source for a review. As I stated earlier, I am a seasonal camper at Leisure Valley and I'm sad to the season coming to an end. We love the campground and like the family that owns it very much. I(we) highly recommend everybody come visit and judge for yourself. My family and I are there most weekends so you can ask us yourself.

Provided by YP.comWe arrived at Liesure Valley Campground with much exitement and anticipation. The spring fed ponds, the swimming pool and the friendly, helpful campers that were around our site. We were set up in a lower section of the campground close to the ponds, more secluded than the main campground and very picturesque.
All of this changed when a a very large group of tent campers (approx. 30) came in late on Friday night and began setting up camp. There were several in the group that drank heavily through the night and became louder as the night progressed. This went on until 7 am when several of the campers around us expressed themselves to the group and began tearing down there campsite and either leaving the campground altogether or moving to another site within the campground far away from this group. The owners were notified several times about the noise and made a concious decision to leave this group where they were.
Being from Indiana myself, I was embarrassed to see that the majoity of the license plates associated with this group were from my home state. We were asked several times by other campers if all people from Indiana acted this way, very embarrassing.
Saturday morning around 9 am we were confronted by a couple of young girls asking if we had seen a bike that was missing from there campsite. We had advised them that we had not, but would keep our eyes open for them. A couple of hours later, low and behold not one but two stolen bikes were recovered from the group mentioned above. One of the bikes was placed by the group between two tents while the other was actually hidden inside one of there tents. The owners of Liesure Valley recovered the stolen bikes from this group so once again, they were aware of the activities of this group and choose to do nothing about them.
This group also had a large pit bull with them who terrorized the campground each time that he escaped from his owners. Any dog that requires a log chain for a coller probably should have stayed at home.
The next night was better (Saturday night) the owners of Liesure Valley had talked to the group several times during the day and the group was pretty quiet after 11pm. However, the next morning several bottles of wine were missing from our cooler from the previous days visits to some of the local wineries. I can not lay blame as to who may have done this but judging from the previous days activities I would have to believe that where there is smoke there is fire.
The group also had a fondness for croquet, it was easy to follow the path of the game between the small spring fed ponds by the discarded budweiser cans along the route. When asked to pick them up, the responsible parties responded that with all the money that this group was paying to stay there that it was the responsibility of the campground to pick up after them. I personnally picked up several cans and discarded them in the trash.
With all of the things that happened concerning this group, the owners awareness of these activities and the lack of response by them. I simply cannot recommend this campground to anyone. Maybe if the owners did not treat the campground as merely a cash cow and disaplined those who clearly ruined the experience for everyone around them I could change my mind, but that simply is not the case.
Sorry so long, I hope that this gets the attention of the owners of Liesure Valley as they really have a beautiful campground that should be shared.

Provided by YP.comWe had a group of 12 motor homes; senior citizens; reserve lots here in 2007. It was the worst experience ever. The woman in charge was insulting, they constantly monitored our group as we ate and visited together the entire four days we were there. It was a messy campground, a lot of debris and signs of past decks and garbage lay about on lots. The woman was not at all friendly or cooperative. The weeds were out of control and trails were unkempt. The mosquitoes were thick and it was mainly dirt where there should have been grass. We are a group who can afford our homes and we travel extensively. This was a bad experience. When we told her of our disappointment; she merely stated that she could care less.
Hello there, I am disappointed that the time spent at Leisure Valley was not enjoyable. I apologize for the bad time you had. I am currently the new owner of Leisure Valley, which is now under new management of my family. You should come back again and give us a chance. Again I regret the bad experience, you are always welcome again.
