I have had a growing distaste for WalMart in recent months. It has nothing to do with politically motivated, "they're destroying small business" rhetoric that comes from people who support politicians with policies that destroy small business. It comes from the fact that the quality of service and product from WalMart has been in a steady decline over the last year or so. Not just one particular store, but every WalMart I have been to has been getting bad. The Decatur, Texas store may have finally sent me over the edge by selling me a lawn mower that evidently had been left in the weather long enough that it rusted inside. I only ended up there after making the drive to Bowie and finding that they don't sell lawn mowers at all. It was the straw that broke the camels back. Once I pay off the balance of the WalMart card I have, I'm cutting the freaking thing in half and if I never walk into a WalMart again it will be fine with me.

The Wal-Mart in Decatur is not a friendly store you rarely even see workers and many times they act as if you are disturbing them if you ask them about something. (This does not cover all employees) You never see management and the stores quality of merchandise not to mention availability of merchandise has went way down. This could be a company wide problem.



I do shop there when I need something I can't get from another store that is more friendly but this is about the only time.
