I recently went to urgent care with what turned out to be shingles. I saw Ashley Cardenas and had 2 follow up appointments. She is very kind and professional and prescribed treatment that my dermatologist later confirmed was exactly right. It is nice to know we have good quality health care right here in our small town. Been going here for a few months, the wait is not long at all. Everyone is so nice, I really like this place. But today I felt so rushed, the doctor didn't give me time to address another issue, I left there feeling almost as bad as when I went in. It felt like I didn't matter at all , I still like the place. Maybe doctor was having a bad day, I've been having them for weeks, but wasn't given the time to ask for help.

When I arrived at my appointment she told me that my charge would be $20.40. I questioned this amount because my copay is usually $20.00. She told me that the extra 40 cents must have been owed from my last appointment. I went ahead and paid the $20.40. The next day I received an alert that my card had went into the negative causing me to incur a $30 overdraft fee. It showed I had two transactions from Wise Urgent Care. One for $20.40 & another for $20.00. I immediately called the office and was told that the billing department would be there Monday and that she would leave a note for them to call me first thing on Monday. No call on Monday So Tuesday morning I called and spoke with Mary from billing. she said I must of handed my card to the receptionist twice in order for the two transactions to appear. I told her no and told her exactly what happened. I admit at this point I was getting mad. She then said she was having computer issues and would have to call me back. I waited an hour and she never returned my call. So I called her back and she got smart and told me that a technician was working on her computer and that the transaction was out of her hands. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. She said fine and then hung up on me! I decided to go up there myself. I arrived and asked for the manager where she informed me that I was charged for the $20.40 for a balance I had in their office AND my copay. I tried to tell her that the receptionist never told me that the additional charge was being put on my card. I never authorized the $20! The woman at the front told me $20.40 and that is what I agreed to pay. They wouldn't hear it. They wouldn't accept ownership of their two employees errors. They told me they would refund one of the amounts but I would still get billed for it later which I found ridiculous. All in all I left without this issue resolved and very upset. My card was double charged without my permission.

My second time in office. While the doctor was professional, the general appearance and cleanness of the office was lacking. Floors needed to be swept, dead bugs removed from office floors, and rugs vacuumed. And bathroom was dirty and with little soap in which to wash you hands. I expect more from a doctor's office.
