Im use to eating sushi in Iowa City or Des Monies, so I entered the situation not expecting the greatest sushi. IT TOOK 30 MINUTES JUST TO GET THE WATER!!!!! The dishes were not clean!!!!!!! We were there for 2 hours and there was 3 others in the place. The waitress was the worst ever. I would give the sushi a 4 of 10 and the rest of the visit was 1 of 10. The decor on the ceiling was neat and thats how they got a 1. The sushi is made in the back! I wanna see my sushi being made like is done everywhere else. Everywhere in Iowa City gets at least a 7 of 10, thats how bad this place is. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Koreana makes a lovely new addition to the "fine-dining" scene in Decorah. The food is "Korean/Japanese" (fusion). The service is admirable, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The daily "lunch box" special is economical, ample, and beautifully served on modern and delightful plates. The wait staff is pleasant and "presents" well. (They don't cumber you with unwanted interruptions like "do you need more water"?!)It is entirely possible with a table of three or more people to order only "starter" courses. The sushi is made to order and delightful. These are wonderful, and would make a festive meal for all.Kudo's to Nikka and her husband for venturing into "unknown" lands with marvelous success.A welcome addition would be wine "by the bottle". At this point, the wine list is a bit limited, somewhat overpriced, and can only be ordered by the glass. Hot Saki would be a "must addition" to the drink list.A good dining experience overall.
