We took are sick cat Cleo to two other vet clinics, who did not seem to be able to diagnosis and treat our cat with any success. The vets from these clinics seemed to be guessing as to the issue with the cat. I won't mention the other vet clinics by name, but they were those so called affordable outfits that seemed to practice vodo medicine. By now, the poor cat was in it's final throws. Finally, we took the cat to the Deer Park Animal Medical Center. DVM McGaffey was able to find the issue with the cat immediately and within days of treatment the cat was back to normal. Professional vet services are hard to find like this clinic. DVM McGaffey and staff at the Deer Park Animal Medical Center were top notch professionals that will be our sole provider from now on. We have been clients of DPAMC since 1991. We have experienced nothing but top quality care from Dr. Bill McGaffey and the entire staff. In the past 19 years, they have cared for our six cats and two dogs. We have trusted them with surgeries, medications and basic health for our pets. They are professional, accommodating and caring. In addition to the veterinary service, it is the only place we board our pets.

We have taken our cats and labs to Deer Park Animal Medical Center for years and received the very best care whether medically or boarding our pets. The care that is provided has given us peace of mind that the animals are well taken care of and their facility is top rated for cleanliness and proper procedures. The doctors and staff show great professionalism and concern to their patients and owners.

Dr. McGaffey and staff are excellent. I trust them absolutely with my "children". This staff saved my cat "Tully" and I will not take my pets to any other vet - even when it means I am driving 3 hours in a blinding snow storm. They have excellent facilities-clean, and great for boarding. Everyone there loves animals, and it shows! Go visit - you will see the level of professionalism and expertise!

My first encounter with Deer Park Animal Medical was 10 years ago when he found an ear infection in my dog that another vet missed thus saving Ramses hearing. Dr. McGaffey and his staff have always been sensitive and caring. I appreciate their hours of operation as it can be difficult to to the vet during the week.Not to mention they were a lifesaver when Ramses decided to investigate a porcupine on a Sunday. That is just one of many times they have said "bring him right in" I wouldn't consider any other vet.

emtgirl has some serious anger issues. I certainly understand how we can lash out when our loved ones (pets) are in distress. I have worked with DP Animal Medical Center and the McGaffey's for a decade and a half. While the message delivered has not always been the one I wanted, they have been straight shooters and have provided nothing but the best care for our animals. They do what's best for the animals regardless of where the chips may fall and it's great to know that they are in our corner. I can't count the times when they have come through at the last minute to help our pets and provide a safe and secure environment for them. They are tops in my book.

We had the pleasure of our pet being treated at Deer Park Animal Medical Center. After exhausive attempts at other so called Vets, that did not seem to have the where with all to adequately diagnosis our cat, we tried Deer Park Animal Medical Center. DVM McGaffey was able to diagnosis the issue and treat it immediately. His correct diagnosis and treatement saved our cat. If you want the utmost in professional veterinarian services beyond the spay and neuther limited practices, I highly recommed DVM McGaffey at Deer Park Animal Medical Center.

Our experience over the years with Dr. McGaffey and his staff has been nothing but first class. Dr. McGaffey has treated our Jack Russell in a unique and caring way that appeals to the breed and fits her personally perfectly. This ability to adjust an approach to different animal types can only be accomplished by an experienced and knowledgeable vet. We have found Dr. McGaffey's staff to be equally friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We have no reservations whatever in giving this facility the highest approval rating.

My Great Dane,Allie, suffered a twisted stomach on a holiday eve. Not only did the Doctor and staff see my dog, but performed emergency surgery, then cared for her throughout the holiday weekend including much of the holiday itself (when they were normally closed). The doctor phoned me often to ease my fears, and after several anxious days with a feeding tube- Allie began to eat and drink on her own. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. I will never go anywhere else!

They are only interested in taking your money & will run a bunch of unneccesary tests. He'd tell me I HAD to do this test & when it came back negative, he'd say, "Yeah, I didn't think it was that, but it's best to check." I specifically told him I was broke and needed to keep the cost as low as possible, and he intentionally racked up the bill.He did an xray after I told him my dog had eaten 30 minutes ago then tells me he can't see if anything's wrong because the food was in the way. Why did he do the xray in the first place then? He knew my dog had just eaten. $700 later, he had no idea what was wrong with my dog. I would NEVER go back to this place. When I went in, someone else's dog had gotten out of the kennel in the back and almost ran out of the bldg. Go somewhere else! The vet has NO idea what he's doing and will try to get every dollar he can, and the staff is really reckless with pets left in their care.
