My experience with this company was bad. I did a repair request with Whirlpool for a dishwasher that had stopped working. Whirlpool told me that Platt's were the only ones in the area that would come to my home. Whirlpool told me they only worked Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1-5pm. After making arrangements, at work to be home, the repairman was calling around 11am that he was already at my home. That day he had to order a part that was damaged and would have to come a 2nd time. Another appointment was made and this time I would be home all day. It came 12:30pm and I received a phone call from their very rude and unprofessional secretary stating that it was 12:30pm and the repairman was here. I was lost because he never knocked or called me and I was home all day. She responded "Well he's there, you may want to open the door for him." She has an attitude problem. I am glad my warranty is almost over and prefer to buy a new dishwasher than work with them again.

We've had to deal with Platt's several times due to our warranty on our washer and everytime has been a headache. From not ordering parts for weeks, to not fixing problems, to flooding my laundry room the last time he serviced my washing machine. My only advice is to STAY AWAY and hire someone else if you have an option.

Platt's Appliance failed to fix my Whirlpool Refrigerator after 4 appointments made. Platt himself is unprofessional and apparently incompetent.



The first time he came to my house he made an assessment that the compressor was going bad, possibly low freon. He stated that he couldn't make the repair because it was Christmas Time and didn't have the parts.



The follow on appointment was made and he failed to show.



The third appointment he made two repairs having nothing to do with the originally stated assessment. He replaced the entire front water dispenser and an electrical component in the rear of the fridge. I asked him why he wasn't fixing the compressor, and he stated "the computer told him this was the problem"...what?



Well...it didn't fix the problem. 24 hours later my freezer still didn't work.



I did a quick deployment overseas and had to put this on the backburner but when I returned I called Whirlpool.



A fourth appointment was scheduled. Skipping out of work four times to fix my fridge is ridiculous. The day of the appointment I called to confirm and was told that I didn't properly schedule the repair through the extended warranty provider, Assurant, something I had not done before. The secretary gave me the number and told me I had to do it, of course it was the wrong number. I was transferred and Assurant told me that the earliest would be April. This would be four months without a freezer. I'm guessing a fifth or even six appointment will be necessary.



I feel a false repair was made, Platt charged the company Assurant for repairs he didn't make. I would give zero stars if I could.

I've used Platt's many times over the past 15 years, as have my friends/family. The repairman always showed up when he was supposed to and the work was always first-rate!

I would recommend Platt's Appliance Repair.

Beware of Platt's

Terrible service. My refrigerator/freezer stopped working as well as the in door ice/water dispenser. Platt's examined it and wrote up the receipt as "checked out refrigerator." He called me and told me my compressor was gone and I should buy a new refrigerator. I did-then my freezer came back on. I called and told them to please come back and fix the shortage so I could sell it and recoup some of my money and to prepare a receipt that would indicate how much money a compressor repair would cost so I could turn it into my homeowner's insurance. He would do neither after 5 calls to their business and connecting with his office assistant. He has left me royally "stuck!"
