Anyone residing in the first level apartments on regent drive, specifically in 1107 apt 3, BE VERY CAREFUL! Within a the first few months of residency, we had to make several police reports. Break ins, peeping toms, suspicious activity... That particular apartment seems to be a target since it is at the far end. Take all security measures necessary because Pittsley management didn't seem to care that this was happening. They simply told us "we'll add it to your file" and it happened over and over. People would also snoop in the other ground level apartments however ours was the main go-to. The main window targetted is the room in between followed by the third room behind the kitchen (master room). Take precautions- alarms, weapons, etc. Or, don't live there especially women.

DO NOT RENT from Pittsley Realty!!!!!! They are cheats. They weren't even my landlord when I first moved into the duplex but ownership changed hands while I lived there and they took over as managers of the property. They don't even own the property. We lived there for 6 years, the carpet was not new not was the paint when we moved in but we were charged for new paint and new carpet. They won't let you see what they write on the move out sheet until after you have moved out and it was like pulling teeth to even get a copy of that after 2 months. You can't get the people you need to talk to on the phone or to return a call. Pittsley Realty are crooks. DON'T RENT FROM THESE CROOKS.

I've lived with every realty company in town. Pittsley is a sick, cruel joke. Even after leaving them, they still have yet to give us our deposit check. For some reason they never seem to have a manager present when you need them, and are less than helpful when you finally hunt them down.

Pittsley has been nothing but a nightmare. I thought they were great at first and they've been terrible for everything from the lease, to repairs to returning deposits. None of them know what they're talking about and each person will tell you something different when you call. They will not return phone calls or give you correct answers. I wish that my roommates and I could move but it's too late now :( do NOT rent from here.

Fair warning to everyone out there looking at apartments...



Pittsley Reality is the SLUMLORD of Dekalb. If you have questions Mr. Pittsley can't or doesn't want to answer he says "I'm not getting anywhere with you" and then he walks out of his office and leaves you sitting there. He is in it to make a quick buck and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF COLLEGE STUDENTS. The people that lived in my unit got charged $3000 for things that hadn't been fixed even after we moved in.



Advice to People Moving in in August -



Take pictures of EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that seems damaged or needs to be fixed. Make sure all of it gets written down on the move-in sheet as well. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Pittsley Realty is HORRIBLE. I would not recommend them to anyone! I was in a serious car accident on the first day of classes, I had to move back home for the semester. I am not able to be taking classes, not able to work, and no car. I called Pittsley Realty MANY times for guidance on how I could get out of my lease.

I received NO help ! The B*TCH at the front desk refused to allow me to speak to the manager, and refused to talk to me herself.. Then denied it to her manager when I came in to the office.

I have heard nothing but BAD NEWS about this realty, and I wish I had listened to others before signing a lease.

I renewed my lease for the coming year and they actually lowered my rent! I've never had an issue with my apartment that wasn't taken care of. I'm not moving until I'm done with grad school, that's how much I like them (or maybe just hate the other places in Dekalb that much more)

Pittsley Realty is a Joke

Renting through Pittsley Realty has been a nightmare. They do not keep the apartments in good condition or fix anything in a timely manner. When I moved in, the carpets were filthy, the air conditioning, garbage disposal, and stove did not work (to name a few problems). These inconveniences took an entire month to correct. Since then the dryer and freezer/refrigerator have broken down, which took another two weeks each to fix. Not to mention that I was never reimbursed for the food I lost.



I have parked in the street many times, even after paying for a parking sticker, because they do not tow as promised. It also takes over 48 hours after snowfall for the lot to be plowed and sidewalks shoveled.



I would never rent through Pittsley again and regret doing so in the first place. The money I am paying for rent is nowhere near equal to what I am getting in return.
