Provided by YP.comI have worked for this business for over 4 years. Has its ups and downs like EVERY OTHER BUSINESS. To all of you negative reviewers I say this....
1. It is NOT our job to sort out YOUR metals. We have signs explaining this. Technically we are supposed to send you and your unorganized mess to the back of the waiting line so you can sort it out. When we do sort it, we do it as a courtesy, not because we HAVE to.
2. Anyone experiencing "issues" with selling cars, the procedure is VERY simple. If you have the title, you simply sign it as the seller when you bring in the vehicle or we arrive to tow it. If you do not have a title, then the vehicle's registration MUST BE expired for ONE YEAR before we can legally buy it from an unregistered owner. If there is an active lien on the vehicle or if the vehicle is missing its VIN number, we WILL NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE! We will NOT tow incomplete vehicles.
3. We do NOT post our prices ANYWHERE because prices can change from day to day. We have to follow what the market mandates much like every other business that wants to stay open.
4. If you call for prices, we are limited to two quotes over the phone. If you want more prices, come on down in person and we will give you all of them. When you ask for a quote on your material, be specific please. If you have insulated copper wire, don't just say, "I have copper". You will receive the wrong price and be disappointed when you see it's not what you were quoted. If you have aluminum, there are several different variations (sheet, extrusion, clip, cast, zinc die cast) and they all have different prices.
5. If you've experienced problems with our staff thays because you probably came in unorganized, didn't like the fact that your material was not what you "thought" it was, and decided to disrespect me or my co-workers. 90% of our customers are repeat customers that follow all of the rules and treat us with respect which we reciprocate.
Have a nice day :)

Provided by YP.comI wish I could give negative stars to this company. They may be ok to recycle tin cans but BEWARE of selling autos here. Initially, the tow truck driver was supposed to arrive at my home at 9 am on a set day but was a no-show. This ultimately turned out to be a good thing because when I went there in person I discovered the following: 1. The office personnel, Amanda, would sign the title (and even then grudgingly), but not give the money to me. 2. The tow truck driver could not sign the title & would not give the money to me until he arrived at my home to tow the car; thus, signing the title over to the company & receiving the money could not be done at one location!!! If I signed the title at the office, the car would belong to Central Florida Recycling Center with no guarantee the tow truck driver would pay the quoted amount, or pay at all. If done in reverse ie. the tow truck driver showed up at my home, paid for the car and towed it away, I had no guarantee the office would then sign the title. Before contacting this company I had read the procedures for selling a car and transferring the title in Volusia County which stipulated that both buyer and seller sign and date the title. If Central Florida's Recycling Center's method is not illegal, it is at least extremely unprofessional and could put the seller in an untenable position with the state. The situation did not seem right to me, I informed Amanda I would not do this type of deal. She shrugged and said ok. Fortunately I found American Auto Salvage & Recycling in Debary who actually weighed my car first (and I gained $45.00 more than Central FL Recycling offered), signed the title, had me identify myself with photo ID and a thumbprint, signed the title and paid the money AT THE SAME TIME!
Many thumbs down for the shady manner in which Central FL Recycling conducts business and more thumbs down for Amanda.

Provided by YPmobileTheir website says they pay top dollar & match or beat any price, & when I called they said NO! We don't do that!--then don't advertise it! Everyone else is paying more, I called three places. You're not paying top dollar, you're not even paying the same as everyone else, YOU ARE PAYING THE LEAST. .40 cents. For aluminum cans Hahaha. Everyone else is paying .50 cents.

Provided by YP.comUsed to go here as well but then heard they put air under their scales so that they can pay much more when you're not actually getting any more. It's an illusion to get your business when they are tricking you into thinking you're getting more. My weights were all off. Better off going to the place down the road that has been in business over 30 years.

Provided by YP.comI used to go to you guys all the time and never thought about check my tickets because I always got a good price. Recenlty a friend of mine told me to weigh my stuff at home before going in. Yes you do pay higher than anyone in town but I get less money because my 23 pounds of copper ended up being 17 pounds. my 5 gallon lowes bucket weighs two pounds not 6 pounds but you refuse to weigh my bucket separately. that's crap. I wont be coming back!

Provided by YP.comThey were very helpful. I didn't have my stuff sorted correctly. They helped me sort the metal and explained that if it was sorted correctly I would receive more money for recycling.
