Teachers are professional but do not get support from management when it is most needed. Communication is not given to parents from management until an end result of an issue.They boast about "Its about the children" motto.However, they do anything but that,with 18-20 children one teacher and a teacher assistant.How can adequate care,education and attention to individual needs be given to a child with that many children?Reviews written from 2012 still hold true.Several parents have moved their child to a new school after they entered the 2 yr old room.This daycare is average for what they promote and is good for children who do well in large groups.There are other known daycares in the area that offer a smaller class size with equivalent curriculum,staff who support their teachers and work together with the parents as a team with a much less tuition fee.JAVP seem to have it all, but be aware that sometimes there are negatives behind the initial WOW factor you receive at your 1st visit.

Impressed former Teacher

I am a former Early childhood educator with 17+ years experience. When we toured the facility (after touring SO MANY others), we were so pleased to see such wonderful classrooms, library area, and an outdoor play area.

When you enter the facility, the security is Great! You cannot proceed without a code or card from the lobby to the area where the children are. The director was polite and asked great questions (to ensure we were not crazies and get more info on why we were there). She gave us a tour. Children cannot get out of the security doors (you must press a button and then push the doors to exit and it took considerable pressure for us to get the button all the way in and then push the doors...not likely that ANY child would be able to complete the task).

The outdoor area impressed my husband because it was large, offered variety, and was a soft astro-turf like material that offered safety for falling children while keeping our cars free of that horrid mulch or sand often found on every other playground!

I loved the detailed curriculum, bright and welcoming rooms, and how CLEAN everything was! The teachers were polite and knowledgeable and they convey true care for the children! I was also impressed by the level of attentiveness the staff showed! Heads on a swivel and not just sitting like lumps...they were aware of everything going on and kept the classrooms running in that perfect balance of "Organized Chaos" children thrive on!!

The atmosphere is happy and relaxed...you get the sense that there are no heirs put on or that there is ever "drama". No one was fake or blew sunshine up your hind end...A very professional, happy, safe, CLEAN environment!

My husband and I are overjoyed to have Junior Academy for our children! What a cool place!

I would have to say that I am quite disappointed with this school in the administration department. They are inadequately staffed as there tends to be no one at the front desk, and being a parent, I would be hoping for better security. I noticed that once your inside the school there is a general area where parents wait or there can be inside play if weather does not permit play outside. I noticed that children are sent to the bathroom unattended. Mind you that this is a daycare/ pre-k, Kindergarden school. I also notice there is a button on the wall for parents to push to unlock the door in order to leave the building. The location of the button is low enough that a 3 year old can easily reach it. If no one is at the front door or in the central area then it will be easy for children to leave, or a stranger to take your child. As for the teachers in this Junior Academy, they are very polite to the parents but offer little support or aid outside the classroom. I feel the teachers are scared for there jobs and offer little to any support to the parents. Parents be wary before sending your child to this school, look beyond the smoke and mirrors of location. For some children this may be a average school that is permissible for some.
