In my opinion, this guy is a sorry excuse for an attorney. He preys upon his clients in their most vulnerable time. His staff is rude. He hides behind his bullish paralegal and is afraid to fight for you. He takes your money and never returns your phone calls. Anyone who considers hiring this guy should first consult:



1. The Florida Bar Association for the numerous complaints filed against him.

2. The Florida Better Business Bureau for his "F" rating for complaints filed against him.

3 And http://florida.arrests.org/Arrests/Robert_Stepniak_5932229/ for his recent arrest for battery by strangulation of his current wife.

Well, I think it is ironic that Robert (Bob) Stepniak now has a positive review on all of the sites which I cited in my compaint to the Florida Bar of which he recently received a copy showing that he has a pattern showing unsatisfied clients who according to reviews received the same subpar service which I received.



It is my opinion that someone at Mr. Stepniak's office has been busy creating these positive reviews on the sites which I included in my Florida Bar complaint which is under review for investigating Mr. Stepniak as well as mentioned in the Better Business Bureau complaint which I also filed and where Mr. Stepniak has an 'F' rating.



I really find it interesting that so many people had such a poor experience with Mr. Stepniak and suddenly when faced with those reviews as submitted as part of my packet to the Bar that now he suddenly has positive reviews on those sites. What is funny is that the person missed the other sites which were too numerous for me to include in my complaint to the Florida Bar, those still only have negative reviews.



My purpose is that I hope future clients read all the reviews and recognize that there are FAR more negtative reviews and use some common sense that if people are filing complaints officially with the Bar and BBB in addition to the negative reviews on here, that Mr. Stepniak probably isn't "the best!!!!!" He is absolutely NOT the best and sadly I had to learn that the hard way and deeply regret not searching all over the internet to get the true story about Mr. Stepniak.

I agree I wish there was a '0' rating! In my opinion Bob Stepniak is unprofessional and lazy.I hired Bob to handle a simple matter of contempt against my ex.When we finally went to the hearing,I was embarrassed by his lack of preparation.He couldn't answer simple questions from the judge in my case.I had to hire another attorney to finish the job.Getting past his staff is impossible.They will appease you and set an appointment only to cancel it at the last minute; that is IF she can access his calendar bc she usually can’t because her computer is always “down”.His paralegal was rude and unprofessional to me.Bob hides behind her and acts like he had no idea you were trying to reach him.And if you do reach him, he is full of excuses why your case is not moving and none of them are his fault, he is always waiting on someone else, even when you can prove him wrong.It is my opinion you will not get good legal representation if you hire him.He talks a good game, takes your money, and then he will quit on you.

Too bad there's not a zero rating. Agree with all the rest of the ratings on here. This man is rude, quick to take your money, does not communicate once he gets your money, leaves his secretaries to run interference for him. He does not fight for the client who hired him. He sure talks a good talk before he gets your money then does not follow through. However you can GET YOUR MONEY BACK BY FILING A BAR COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA BAR ASSOCIATION. All Florida Attys who are members of the FL Bar Assn. have to pay annual dues, and a portion of that goes into a trust fund to reimburse clients who get snowed into very bad situations like this. And ironically the magic number of the amount that the FL Bar association will reimburse is $2500.00. Just google "Florida Bar Association file complaint" and it walks you through it all. Simply tell the truth. We've been told so many lies by him and his staff that he cannot even remember what he's said to us. But we do :)

I recently retained the firm of Stepniak & Park, P.A. to represent me in a child custody matter and am happy to say they were of great assistance and I prevailed in my case. I called several attorneys before hiring Mr. Stepniak and the retainers and hourly rates I was quoted were out of my price range. Mr. Stepniak quoted me a retainer I could afford, did not charge me hourly after payment of the retainer and started my case with half of the retainer up front. I was not offered this type of financial assistance from any other firm. Mr. Stepniak did a wonderful job for me and my boys - I highly recommend this firm to anyone!!
