Delavan Flying Dragons Martial Arts Center
133 Park Pl, Delavan, WI 53115
The Martial Arts that we teach in the Delavan area is to help individuals and families as well as the community to work together. We believe that martial arts training should be able to be taught to almost anyone especially children. Our program works with both children and adults. Since 1983, Master Murphy can communicate with Sign Language for the Deaf as well as speak some Spanish. The Martial Arts that is taught at our Academy in Delavan is a combination art that uses the Kicking, Blocking, Striking and Forms (Katas) from the Korean Art of Tae Kwon Do, the Throwing, Sweeping and Grappling techniques of the Japanese Art of Judo and the Wrist Locks, Arm Bars and Pressure Points of the Korean Art of Hapki-Do, along with modern day Boxing. Also taught are the different martial arts weapons such as the Nun-Chaka, Sai, Bo-Staff, Kama, Tonfa and Kali (also known as Escrima). By putting these systems together this allows an individual to become a well-rounded martial artist.
