Consignors beware... the owner uses very shady practices. She stole several items from me. I had to threaten her with the police In Order to be reimbursed. Read the contract... it states that she has the right to "donate" your items if she finds a stain/imperfection" this is without your consent or opportunity for you to pick it up. In other words, she gets to sell items without paying you your commission. Very convenient. When I came to pickup the remains set of my items, I asked for a copy of the sales made on my items.... she said that "she does not do that". She reluctantly gave it to me that's when I saw how many of my items were missing from the report. So of course she doesn't practice this... it's proof that she steals from her consignors!

I have always believed in recycling and repurposing so consignment stores, resale shops, garage sales and antique stores have always been places of interest to me. So I consider myself a maven of sorts in this area. Over the years

I have watched the number of women's consignment stores grow and stopped into many in Chicago's Lincoln Park area and the Lake Geneva area. Lake Shore Fashions is by far the best! The decor and ambiance is similiar to a

retail boutique. The staff is friendly and helpful. Once doesn't feel rushed. And the clothing and accessories are well selected, (purse selection by designer is exceptional) with a good eye for quality, seasonal interest, and style. Best of all it is not crowded, stuffed or overflowing with too much merchandise!!! Tasteful is the word. I always find something I want to buy! Get your lady friends and make an afternoon of a shopping spree at Lake Shore Fashions.
