About Dr. Cyrus Ghavam After high school in St. Petersburg, Dr. Ghavam graduated from Stanford University, where he earned his Bachelorâ??s and Masterâ??s degrees in a combined 5 year program. He earned his MD with Research Distinction at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, serving as Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. He completed his spine fellowship program at OrthoCarolina Charlotte Spine Center.
