i came there to pick up my son' s shoes from stretching and they were not ready , which is ok. the lady who works there made a phone call to the place , where they sent my shoes, and told me to come the next day for sure at 3pm . so i came the next day and they still were not ready!!! it was 100 f. outside! i had a crying child in my car, and they made that mistake and even did not call me earlier.. like they do not have any phones!! so i would not come and spent my gasoline and time.....disappointed..

What a disappointment. Being a neighbor, I was looking forward to supporting this local business with my regular drycleaning and alterations. NOT A CHANCE ANYMORE !!!



In the few months I have lived nearby, I have brought in 2 drop-offs. The first - they lost a $160 shirt. The second - they ruined a $180 dress and didn't have my alteration order ready on time for pickup.



After the first shirt was lost, I was told that I must have dropped it in the parking lot. Impossible, since all of the hangers in my plastic bag were full. But the shop owner claimed no responsibility and did not even issue an apology, let alone a credit.



After I went back to pick up my second order, I was given back the $180 dress with the elastic completely stretched out, making the dress no longer wearable. In addition, my jacket left for alterations was not yet ready, even though I was told it would be.



When I went back AGAIN to get the jacket, I literally had to stand outside since the smell of toxic shoe repair chemicals and/or mildew literally was suffocating me. From the sidewalk, I was told that the jacket was nowhere to be found.



I have now finally picked up that jacket and again had to brave toxic fumes to go inside. This business is not only bad for your clothing; it is HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH !

I have been using Swift Cleaners for many years and have always been pleased with the quality of cleaning and the friendly service. Recently, they have added Shoe Repair at their store; and that is the reason for this review. I brought my husband's business shoes in to get new soles and heels. The work was done beautifully and was half the price that we have paid at another store. Way to Go Swift Cleaners! I'm telling all my friends and neighbors about this place!

This place is great! Terrific Delray feel, classy but not expensive. Sloane is a joy. They just added in-house shoe and luggage repair too.
