Rating this one star because its the lowest you can. Horrible place to live! "Gated complex", with gates that are usually broken. If the gates aren't broken, people drive so close to your bumper to "sneak in". Speed limit is 10 but very few do 10. Pet owners don't pick up their dogs dropping. Tons of stray cats. Maintenance staff are rude, speed, don't follow rules, and look like they may be on drugs! Never a place to park near your building because guest don't follow rules by parking in visitors parking. Office does nothing about it. The only way any thing is done is if you kiss their asses. I wouldn't recommend moving here. If you are desperate for a place to live, you are better off living in your vehicle!

20 reasons this place is a living nightmare!

Why this place is a living nightmare goes as followed: 1) staff is very rude and unfriendly borderline confrontational with every interaction.

2) Maintenance crew changes weekly and are very unknowledgeable

3) stray cats and animals roam all over the complex destroying property that sits outside

4) monthly handout seems like prison rules for your own home rather than friendly reading, filled with sarcastic don't dos.

5) paint flaking off balcony doors since move in two years ago and have been promised multiple time it would be fixed.

6) leaking and stuck faucet in bathroom that maintenance can't fix.

7) gated community but gates hardly ever work.

8) potholed riddled road throughout complex that have speed bump with road nails poking out.

9) gym never has water has been reported months ago still never been fixed.

10) amenities are constantly locked or taking away treating the tenants like punished children when staff has unknown issues on property.

11) they tell you what you can have on your balcony, you don't get a choice.

12) when your out of town they come through your apartment and leave nasty notes from the rude staff on your counter.

13) have HUD inspections annually that state you cannot have any furniture within three feet of any window due to three complexes that have burnt down due to unknown issues.

14) constantly having flat tires due to foreign object damage and nails.

15) people constantly clean out cars and leave trash in parking lot.

16) after speaking to previous tenants receiving your deposit back is almost unheard of.

17) pools constantly dirty filled with dirt, bugs etc and almost always has a green tint.

18) Dawn and Tina are both nice until you sign the lease then they act like prison wardens thinking they own you. Angola probably has better costumer service.

19) on monthly handout constant threats of eviction is almost always the top headline. Making even the people who pay on time feel uneasy.

20) last but not least again I will say the front office staff are rude, a flat out nightmare to have to put up with or interact with just so you and your family can live peacefully.

I have lived in a couple different areas in a couple different complexes an this is by far the most expensive per square foot and the worst staff I have ever dealt with, wouldn't recommend anyone with a family to live here.

I have been living here since December of 2012 and overall i would not recommend anyone signing a lease for this place. Here is my LIST of complaints: To begin with, the carpet in my unit was stained terribly when i moved in and they refused to replace it. The paint on the patio doors is peeling off and they will not repaint it. The water pressure is PATHETIC. I put in a work order for my dishwasher that was not getting my dished cleaned on the first or second round, and the maintenance man said it was working fine, nothing was fixed. I called the "courtesy officer" on the people in the unit above me because after repeatedly asking them several times to quiet down at night while my 2 yr old was trying to sleep they continued to stomp and jump heavily on the floor, and all i got was a voice recording asking to leave a message, i left a detailed message with my contact information and apartment number, and NEVER got a call back. Someone who was parked close to my car that lived in the same building as me has paint thrown all over their new car!! Were paying to live in a gated community where the gate is either broken (50% of the time) or people can easily get in because the gate will stop to let other people in or people willingly let other people in just so they don't have to wait. I have had TWO NAILS in my tires, my neighbors have had upholstery tacks in theirs, and the complex refuses to clean the parking lot or pay for the flat tires. This is also not a very kid friendly place to play because the grass is FILLED with stickers. This is not a place that I will even half way recommend. I can not wait for my lease to be up so that my family and I can LEAVE! were paying 1 grand a month to live in this place!

Luckily, I did not sign a lease at Boardwalk Place. . I found Tina Jordan difficult to work with during the application process. She and her staff (Shelby) seemed unorganized though friendly I gave them the benefit of doubt. Before signing a lease I wanted to walk the unit I would be assigned. I was not happy with the unit due to the location in the complex, the floor level (ground floor) and strong smell of smoke in the unit. When I mentioned the odor during the apartment walk through Tina said the carpet had already been cleaned and there was nothing that could be done. When I asked if I could be placed in another unit, she seemed frustrated and unwilling to do so…though previous to applying she said they have 17 open units so I could choose what level and side I wanted. After consideration, I found a different complex to rent from and notified Tina I would not be renting and would like my deposit back. She was unsure how to do so since I did the deposit online but she would find out and get it back to me. Over the past 3 days, I have called her each day. When I have been able to speak with her she has told me she is working on it and would let me know that afternoon. I have then had to call her the next day after not receiving a call as promised.

I am thankful I did not sign a lease and move into Boardwalk and wish anyone who does the best of luck. I can only imagine how difficult the staff is to work with after move in. It has been a week and I am still trying to push Tina along in returning the $450 deposit.

Okay

Beautiful apartments. However parking is horrible. The pool is always packed and I am pretty convinced godzilla lives above us. The courtsey officer when needed, never contacted us back. Some neighbors are seriously on drugs and there is writing on concrete. But overall, id renew my lease if it wasnt so pricy.
