Provided by YP.comThe vet's and all the staff EXCEPT Brooke are knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. I'm not from the area, experienced this hospital with my sons dog 2 nights in a row. It is an er situation & upsetting to see a furbaby in distress or you wouldn't be there. Brooke needs to learn some customer service skills.

Provided by YP.comWe had 2 pugs...when the youngest 1 became ill on a Sunday they were the only clinic open that was pretty close...I wish they had not been open they took our 5 yr old pug to the back hooked her up on iv charged us for all this testing told us to pick her up in the a.m. no results after all this testing we did follow up at Bryan County Animal Hospital and still no answers, a few days later she passed away in my arms, we even took video of her behavior with us and showed them. The same thing happened to our other pug baby...total spent almost 4 grand...being pug lovers we decided to get another 1 even though our hearts were broken she began to show the same symptoms so we decided to take her to Plano Animal Hospital and within minutes we had a diagnosis how in the world they missed hepatic encephalopathy otherwise known as liver shunt is beyond me, what was all the testing and blood work for? Basically their dog food that was at 17% meat protein had become 27% meat protein overnight due to the meat protein craze and we never noticed until it was too late. So less then 10 min and less then 200$ we were told everything we needed to know about her condition and how to treat it and that there was a surgical option to treat this needless to say we did just that and our pug baby is doing great and a vegan. I just don't think that something so simple should have been so missed and soooo expensive. We truly regret ever walking through their doors and it will never happen again. Scam artists!!!

Provided by YPmobileMy fiancé and I took our very sick baby Seagram in to see if there was anything else that could be done for him and to ensure that we weren't prolonging his suffering. The entire staff at the Grayson County Emergency Clinic were so thoughtful and understanding. We said goodbye to Seagram and were able to make arrangements for afterward. Dr. Franklin made us feel like she loved him as much as we did and understood how hard this decision was for us. I can't thank her enough! While the outcome was sooo very hard for us, I am so thankful that God led us to the right place to help us through it.

Provided by YP.comPrepare to be taken advantage of. We took our 12 year old Dachshund to the Grayson County Animal Emergency Clinic because he was experiencing rapid breathing. No examination was done in our presence. Instead, they took Dash-Dash to the back. The vet then came into the room offering no possible causes for our pet's symptoms, simply stating that she was having a hard time hearing his heart over his breathing (I listened to his heart prior to taking him with no problems whatsoever). The vet then said she would prepare a quote for services so that we could pick and choose what we wanted them to do (as if we would know what was best or what each was for, because they offered no explanation). Time with the vet was 2 minutes or less. The tech returned with a quote for over $1,000.00 worth of charges. Including hospitalization, oxygen therapy, IV therapy, x-rays, antibiotic injection and extensive blood work. I was absolutely shocked! I elected for the antibiotic injection (fee to walk out the door, almost $125.00) and told them I would follow up with my vet at the Bryan County Animal Hospital. I followed up with my vet which immediately diagnosed Dash-Dash's illness as a virus that was going around in dogs stating that about every third dog they were seeing had this virus. My vet gave him another antibiotic injection, and a prescription for additional antibiotics. He also stated that he had no problem hearing his heart and that it sounded very good. Fee to walk out the door under $35.00.

Provided by YP.comWhat a great experience and certainly worth the price! We're used to DFW vet pricing so now we think we've found our new vet. They were very caring, didn't suggest or require a lot of unnecessary procedures, but instead quickly and accurately diagnosed a foot sprain when we thought it might have been an ACL tear....very nice surprise. Our Saturday evening just got better. Thanks to Dr. Cloutier and the team at Grayson County Animal Emergency Clinic.

Provided by YP.comI had to rush my puppy in at 5am due to an allergic reaction caused by medicine another vet prescribed. These ladies are sooooo sweet. You can tell they are pet lovers and only want the best for your animal. They took care of my pup and he is almost back to normal. Yes the prices are high...but your prices would be high too if you had to stay open ALL NIGHT waiting for pet emergencies. This clinic is AMAZING. 5 STARS

Provided by YP.comThis is very hard to believe.
The veterinarians only want what's best for the animal and yes, it doesn't come cheap!
Take note if you are planning to own a pet.
All other reviews are 4 and 5 star. No more needs said...

Provided by YP.comI stumbled across the page for the Grayson County Emergency Animal Clinic and was dismayed at a 1 star review for the establishment and wanted to share with you a experience our family had with the clinic nearly a year ago. On Dec 30,2011, our dog Leo was only like a month and a half old and he suffered a fall that literally ripped his nose off! The soft tissue a bit above the gum line on upper jaw had been torn open, exposing nasal cavity, from canine to canine. Leo had blood spray coming from nose and mouth. It was awful. We had just gotten him and had not decided on a vet so we found the number to the emergency clinic and my wife took him there while I stayed with the kids. I will say that we did not pass the credit screening for services and had to pay cash right then for the services, but my best friend would have i'm sure, died from his injuries... We dropped $500+ for a on the spot emergency surgery. I know that is hard to do for us families that live from paycheck to paycheck but that is the responsibility of adding another life to your family. Afterwards, the Emergency clinic gave him (Leo) All the pain medications to last throughout recovery, not just a hold over till vet follow up, but all he would need to keep him comfortable. He received anti-biotics to keep him from getting infections. I'd say he was maybe 15 pounds or so when that happened. Leo is now 100+ pounds now and has never had any complications from his injury. The only way one could tell what happened to him is a visual examination of his gumline, there is a very pronounced scar running from canine to canine. Leo's a Pitt Bull / Bull Mastiff Mix. Leo's been a wonderful and very loved addition to our family. God Bless ALL the staff at this hospital. We will NEVER FORGET what you did for our baby

Provided by YP.comMy devoted companion of 10 years was critically ill and I could not get my own vet so I went to Grayson County Animal Emergency Clinic. There I found the most competent, compassionate Dr. Smith and staff. Unfortunately I did have to have my beloved put to sleep. Dr. Smith and the staff were so kind and loving during this extremely difficult time. They did not run unnecssary tests, they counseled and consoled me like a friend. Yes, it cost more than just going to a vet during the week during normal business hours, but these wonderful people are there 24 hours a day and that costs more. I totally recommend Grayson County Animal Emergency Clinic if you have an emergency with your pet. Dede's Mom.

Provided by YP.comThe doctor we saw did unnessary test and treatment on my dog when my dog needed to be put to sleep. I have turned in a complaint to the state board because the board of the clinic only looks after themselves. Be aware they may not be telling you the whole truth when they offer tests/treatments for your pet!
