Provided by YP.comWhat an amazing experience! Jean and Elaine are wonderful midwives! The office staff is great and my birthing assitant was so helpful! For me it was the perfect experience! I was able to birth in a laid back environment with a midwife who was encouraging and supportive and never pushed interventions and we were able to go home soon after birth instead of staying in an uncomfortable hospital bed. The whole experience was great from prenatal visits to postpartum! I would highly recommend!

Provided by YP.comIf you want an attentive, caring, professional, and encouraging Certified Nurse Midwife to give you excellent care, Inanna is the place. I had a wonderful experience with the midwives at Inanna for prenatal care and delivery. My prenatal appointments never feel rushed and can last up to 45 minutes where Jean or Betty will answer all my questions thoughtfully. My prenatal care has included standard screenings, blood tests, ultrasound, etc. A huge benefit is having a CNM who will encourage natural labor and delivery and give you the skills to own your own birth. I attended their birth class with my husband and we learned so much about what to expect in labor and early newborn care. The class was at the midwife's home with a handful of other couples. It covered stages of labor, pain coping techniques and more. We really enjoyed it and my husband felt confident in helping me through labor. I labored at Inanna for my daughter's birth and, although it was painful, I can honestly say I enjoyed it and felt so empowered. Many of my friends can't say the same thing for their hospital births. Laboring in a cozy bedroom with the option of a fancy tub, my own music, snacks, freedom to move around and not be hooked up to anything all made me feel comfortable to go with what my body was doing. All of the medical equipment is within reach, but tucked away in a beautiful armoire. The baby's heart rate is monitored every 30 minutes and every 5 minutes while pushing. No fluorescent lights, beeping monitors, nurses coming in and out asking if you want an epidural. Just the presence of a calm, confident, and caring midwife and birth assistants who help you deliver your child into the world. Immediately after delivery, I got to hold my daughter while her umbilical cord still pulsed nutrients to her. My husband cut the cord and she was wiped off in my arms and hardly left my side for a good amount of time. No rush to get weighed, bathed, measured. Just an intimate experience for our new family. I'm looking forward to delivering there again. If you want to have a birth experience with more control over what you want to do and want a calm labor, free from pressure, please consider Inanna.

Provided by YPmobileI started going to Inanna birth center when I found out I was expecting my third child. We had just moved to Texas and had no family in the area so I was anxious to find someone that would be the loving and supportive caregivers I needed. Jean and Betty were all of that and then some. Not only did I feel supported but in their capable hands the birth of my third and fourth daughters was a beautiful and relaxed process. After each of my girls were born they were there to answer any questions that might pop up. I continue to see them for my yearly check up and have been extremely pleased with the care I receive. The whole staff at Inanna has become like family and I'm so thankful we found them!

Provided by YP.comI had my son there in 2008 with Jean Sala. Not what I was expecting at all. At one point I heard her reschedule a visit to the clinic that afternoon, and then after I had my son, she basically kicked me out after the minimum 2 hours. I told her my family would be there in about 4 hours with the car seat, so she asked a woman who was there for a postpartum checkup if I could borrow her babies' car seat so we could go home.

Provided by YP.comI had two babies here, the first birth was great, when i got pregnant the second time, they totally dropped the ball and didnt seem to care as much, I was wanting a water birth and i got in the tub and my midwife wife said," whenever your ready just push the baby out" and walked out the room!!! Me and my husband still talk about that to this day. They charge a 200$ "birth assistant" fee, which doesnt make sense that u would have to pay for an assistant, my midwife Jean Sala left as soon as the baby came out literally!! She told me about a lady thay videotapes birth so i let the lady come and videotape my birth and it has been over a year and i have yet to see anything. Soo, i guess it just depends on who you get and how much money u have.
