They stole $600 from me and tried selling me a 2002 lexus that had issues. Scammers! Liars! Do not go here. Please!!! Their cars look okay on the outside but do not function. Only had the car in my possession 2 days & they charged me $109 for 6 days. Filed a complaint with the BBB & am in the works of getting this public & spreading the word!

These people literally stole my car. I don't write reviews but feel obligated to protect others.

I bought a car. Mario promised to take care of any issues. I was asked to provide a good review of the business by three staff members and Mario to offset some really bad reviews. I was afraid they wouldn't fix my car so I gave them a 5 star review. I then asked if I could trade the car for another that would be safer to drive cross country. Mario said he would love to have the car back and that they would let me trade it.

I came into the dealership. Mario asked for my paperwork for the first cash transaction to process the trade. I selected another vehicle. I had personally invested another $1,000 in tires and repairs of my first purchase I drove for over a week. At the last minute he informed me that the owner would not take the car back in trade.

Mario told me that he would sell my car for me and had two people from the original ad still wanting the car. I needed to sell it so I could leave in time to spend Christmas with my family and relocate. He asked me to leave my car and keys with the dealership so he could sell the car for me.

I purchased the second vehicle and had now given this dealership two sales and a great deal of cash as well as a 5 star review they asked me to provide. When I expressed concern that I was leaving and they still had my car, Mario became abusive and threatened to abandon my car and leave the keys in it. He told me I was a fool to trust leaving my car with him without a consignment agreement. I have this communication in writing.

For days I have tried to reach Mario and Edgar the finance manager on their personal cell phones as well as the dealership and the owner by phone and email. There is no response. The police drove by the lot and no one is to be found. They relisted my car for sale by the dealership to sell it a second time.

When Mario asked for the original paperwork on the first car I purchased so he could process the trade for a second vehicle, Edgar gave me back two packets for the same car, the second car, making me think he was returning the paperwork on my first purchase. They have my cash, my car and the title they never provided me. Can they get by with this? Of course not. I have daily communications and receipts proving I had ownership of the car and communications from Mario proving this. I even have an uncashed check for "change for cash purchase" of the vehicle. But the dealership is holding my vehicle hostage. I am going to miss Christmas with my family. This is a nightmare.

I purchased two vehicles and gave these people a great deal of cash in a week as well as giving them a 5 star review they demanded. This is the way they treat customers. I have since retrieved this review and they are holding my car hostage.

Take heed of the bad reviews and understand that they solicit and force good reviews, holding taking care of problems with vehicles they sell over customers. It is not worth the risk. No legitimate business could do this or could put a customer through this stress. They also say that they are obligated to protect your personal information and confidentiality. I would not trust this either.

All I want is the car I bought and the title I was promised. I am not seeking a refund or for them to fix the vehicle as promised. I just want my property returned so I can try to recoup something for it.

These guys are liars. Don't buy a car from them. They tried selling me a broken car that they had told me was fixed. They took my money and then lied about it until I told them I had proof. Don't trust them. They have sold a lot of lemons to a lot of people.

After researching vehicles for a few months on my own, I decided to go to 5280 Imports for some guidance. The staff able to quickly help me narrow down my search to what made the most sense for my long daily commute and made sure I stayed within my budget. I was impressed with how knowledgeable they were on SO many different cars! They understood my needs, were completely honest and didn't pressure me to buy something just because it was on their lot. We went to a lot of different dealerships to look, so I know that this is not always the case! What I thought might be a stressful process was simple and actually fun, and I am extremely satisfied with my car. I would highly recommend 5280 Imports to anyone!

November 2, 2012

A friend was looking for a car and we went to 5280 Motor Sports. My friend found a car she liked and we talked to that salesman and he said we could put a deposit on the car to hold it while she decided.

I made a $100.00 deposit and the agreement reads as follows. " We here at 5280 Imports are receiving a deposit fo $100.00 from Harold Williams. This deposit will be applied toward the purchase of the 1996 Lexus ES300 vin# JT8BF12G7T0159572. The deposit is being received this 10th day of July 2012."

The document was signed by the salesman and my self.

We did not purchase the Lexus ES 300. I went in today to get my refund back. I had misplaced the signed agreement and just found it today. There is no expiration date on agreement, so 5280 Imports is bound by this agreement and I am owed my $100.00 refund. I was told that they would not return the $100.00 because we had not made the decision to purchase the car.

If they had had put an expiration date or a time frame on the deposit agreement they could say they will not refund the money, but the is no expiration date on the document.

So in fact 5280 has illegally taken the $100.00 from me. It looks like the company is somewhat less the professional.

If you do business with this company be aware, because they don't seem to stand behind contracts they sign. Don't let them dupe you too.

I had one of the worst experie...

I had one of the worst experiences of my life here. It was my dream to buy my first car, and so I spent my entire summer working to earn enough money to buy it. Through my endeavor of searching for a used car, website after website and ad after ad, I finally turned to 5280 motorsports for some help. I had seen one of their listings on craigslist fora 97' Toyota Camry that I fell in love with. The salesman insured me that everything in the car was up to date, and there were no mechanical problems. The check engine light in the car was on, in which he and his mechanic told me that with a regular tune up it should go off. Now, I realize that you should never trust car salesman, and that this is my own fault. After searching for so long, I was ready to buy a car, and so I put my trust in these guys-and they completely ripped me off. My family and I have spent over $2000 in repairs on the car so far-new brake pads (which I was told has just been replaced), etc, and the check engine light is still on...even after a tune up. We contacted the salesman, only for him to tell us that there was nothing that he could do for us. I hope that you do not make the same mistake to putting your trust into these people. The cliched depiction of a sleazy car lot spits 520 motor sports.
