Provided by YP.comIve been a part of Catchpenny for 5 years, and every year i attend it gets better. The camp itself is extremely inviting, very open, and accepting. It brings you out of your comfort zone and introduces you to new aspects and ideas ever day. I recommend this camp for about anyone whose interested in theater, and looking to grow a lot. I've gained so much from this camp, without it i probably wouldn't be who i am today.

Provided by YPmobileI first watched my cousins catchpenny play when I was about 7. It was amazing to see how close she had become with her cast-mates and it was just incredible to see the talents of young actors highlighted by such creativity of the directors. the next year I tried, and even though I was really shy and not much of an actor, I was gladly welcomed in. Josh and April inspired and loved every child in there own way. by the first week, I felt as if catchpenny was my second home. the amount of love and support circulating throughout the building was unreal. by the last week, we were all a big happy family. it was heartbreaking for everyone knowing that our time spent together would soon be cut short. we spent a lot of time bonding and eventually, getting used to the fact that we may never again be able to see the people we had come to love. it was an emotional and worthwhile experience that I could never give up. I love everyone there an still cherish every moment I get with them. my life is forever changed and now I'm more outgoing and definitely more open-minded. Josh really knows what is best for these kids and knows how to make them feel loved. also, the shows are unbelievable! especially considering the time restraint and the youth and inexperience of these kids. I would definitely reccomens this amazing experience to EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI watched these kids perform and I thought they were WAY beyond what I've seen most kids that age do. I've seen other kids perform from other acting groups and they aren't nearly as accomplished. It's obvious their acting coach knows his business and does a great job with the kids. He seems very knowledgeable about his work.

Provided by YP.comMy son was recently asked to write a paper in school about an adult who inspired him. He wrote a beautiful paper about Josh Putnam, director of Catchpenny Kids Theatre, and the absolutely incredible experience he has had for 3 Catchpenny camps in a row. The experience he had with these camps has inspired in him not only a great love of theatre, but also a new confidence, trust in his own expression of his emotions, and wonderful new friendships.
Director Josh is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. I had the great fortune of watching him work with the kids for one whole day at camp and was profoundly moved by his energy, love, dedication and talent for working with the children. AND - they put on wonderful, energetic and entertaining performances at the end of the camps!! My boy thinks of these experiences of some of the best of his life!
My son and I feel SO blessed and fortunate to have met Josh and been a part of the Catchpenny Kids experience.
Catchpenny Rocks!!
