Established in 1882, the Emily Griffith Opportunity School is one of the oldest adult vocational and technical schools in the United States that enrolls more than 11,000 students each year. Individualized hands-on instruction prepares students for jobs as accountants, welders and more than 55 other careers and trades. Up-to-date, approved courses are offered in an affordable, professional and friendly environment. The school is approved by the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. The Emily Griffith Opportunity School offers more than 350 courses of study, making it one of the most diverse adult educational institutions in Colorado.
