The Forney Museum of Transportation is a one-of-a-kind collection of over 500 exhibits relating to historical transportation. It began with antique cars, but soon expanded to include vehicles of all kinds. We are the proud home of the Union Pacific Big Boy, one of the largest steam trains ever built. Other remarkable historic highlights include Amelia Earharts 1923 Kissel Goldbug, The Yellow Peril, an amphicar made for both water and land, and one of the first bicycles ever made, an 1817 Draisine. The Forney Museum of Transportation is a hidden gem centrally located near Downtown Denver. This unique venue holds a collection of over 500 historical artifacts including railroad cars, automobiles, carriages, motorcycles,and wax figures. The museum can hold a variety of celebrations, parties, and functions. We can accommodate parties from 25 to 500 people. Museum admission is included in central space private events bookings and discounted admission for meeting rooms and the gallery plus extras can be added to make your event even more memorable. This museum not only has old cars (including Emelia Earheart's) but it also houses a Big Boy locomotive in great condition.
