Furniture Row uses HSBC if you finance. While I had a positive experience with Furniture Row, the giant fiance company they use is the worst.



HSBC boarders on fraudulent practices. I have received

'offers' from HSBC (shortly after I purchased and financed a couch from Furniture Row) that were frightening and alarming. It began by "this call maybe recorded" which puts one on alert that something is wrong. Nothing was wrong but the script of the 'offer' made me listen carefully to what the 'offer' was. I told them at the end of the call, I thought what they were doing was fradulent and to never call me again. Of course they do not take heed.



Today I paid in full my LARGE bill. I called the week before to ensure best payment methods and they told me the phone payment was free. When I called today, three times they asked for my account and last 4 of SS#. I entered it correctly, then the system dumped me to Customer Service, where they told me it would cost me $15.00 to phone pay. I asked for the Customer services name and number and then requested to speak to Supervisior. The customer service rep. came back and allowed me to pay with no charge.



It seems they always have some way to deter you so they can make you late for payment or get extra money out of you some way.



I am logging a complaint against HSBC to the Colorado Insurance Fraud commission and calling my representative and senator. I am also calling president of HSBC. I paid two huge accounts to HSBC today and it will be the last time I ever use this company again.
