Provided by YP.comThe staff and facilities are acceptable and typical small scale inn. The neighborhood is awful and not very safe after dark. There are many homeless people lounging about on the street. There were syringes and needles by the sidewalk (yes plural as in more than one). There was even a homicide, in the middle of the day & in the middle of the street, less than a block away during our stay.
If you're planning on staying you may want to consider investing in a ballistic vest and bringing a gun for your own protection.
Regretfully this guest was evidently horrified by the homeless shelter three blocks away toward downtown where they line up late afternoons for shelter entry. But needles on the sidewalk and a homicide a block away! Let's be fair. It's easy to check homicide locations in Denver, just Google them. I can't find ANY within 10 blocks for as far back as 2001, and I stopped looking beyond 10 blocks, 10 years. Yes, there are some homeless stagglers walking to the shelter in the afternoons, but I've never found any needles on this property. Reviews can be very helpful to folks, so we welcome them. And occasionally, we do get some bad reviews...and most of them from guests who don't like seeing homeless folks, even three blocks away. They are harmless, unlucky folks just heading to the shelter....not murderous drug addicts as some imagine. My advice: Look at lots of reviews on several sites to get a more realistic overall opinion of services, cleanliness, food, hospitality, amenities and location. One that's over-the-top is not likely to be very helpful.
