I dont write reviews often. I tried hypnosmoke in jan 2010- i was smoke free for about 8 months or so SURPRISINGLY WITH NO URGES OR PROBLEMS after about the first week. THE URGES I DID HAVE WERE AT CERTAIN TIMES IN MY CAR WHEN i HAD THE HABIT OF SMOKING and when I focused on what was said in the counseling session, those urges left after about a week. Why I chose to smoke again is anyone's guess but I am going back for another session. One person's review states that the facilitator just boils it down to "dont smoke" and talks about smoking for 3 hours. For me, the counseling session prior to the hypnotism helped becasue it helped me realize why i had the fits and the urges and how to handle them when they come up. I did not believe that i could be "hypnotized "since I tried that with a psychologist before. This did work ! I was the one who did not follow through as well as I could have. I was surprised by how easy it seemed to quit after the session and I gave little creedence to the session and I thought it was all my effort that helped me quit. I now realize it was the session and my effort combined. This is worth the time, money and effort- after all what do you have to lose by trying and more importantly, what do you have to gain?
