MOPS International, also known as Mothers of Preschoolers International, is a nonprofit organization located in Denver. Founded in 1973, the organization provides support and practical parenting strategies for urban, suburban and rural, stay-at-home, working, teenager, single and married mothers. Its MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mother with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS International operates more than 3,900 groups throughout the United States and in 35 countries around the world. The organization s groups include from 10 to 200 women members. It groups are organized and run by the mothers of children in preschools.
