I am a graduate of Indiana University's School of Music, have been playing guitar for more than 20 years and have over a dozen years teaching experience. As a teacher, I have a very straight forward, 'easy to progress' approach that works great with any age of student, ranging from beginning to advanced levels in the styles of acoustic, electric, finger picking, blues, rock, folk, classical, and Celtic finger style. We'll always have fun and before you know it, you'll be playing everything from AC/DC to Jim Croce! I have also held a student recital for my kids every fall since 2004. Some who participated had only been playing guitar for a couple of months! As you can see, we offer a wide range of instruments and cater to beginners as well as advanced players.   • Acoustic guitar: from beginning to advanced in the styles of strumming, finger picking, singer/songwriter, classical, Celtic, Spanish and Flamenco.
  • Electric guitar: R&R, blues, jazz, country, metal and alternative rock .
  • Bass guitar: beginning to intermediate electric bass.
  • Drums and percussion: beginning to advanced levels.
  • Plus: piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, banjo, mandolin, mandola and ukulele!

    Wouldn't Go Anywhere Else For Lessons!

    My daughter has been a student at North Metro Music for almost two years now. Not only is she being taught how to play acoustic and electric guitar, she is being exposed to a wide range of musical styles and techniques. She isn't just being taught tablature, she is being taught music theory and how to read music. This knowledge will transfer easily to any instrument she decides to pick up in the future. Practice plans and expectations are written out weekly and are clear and easy to understand. Dan rocks!

    My son has been taking lessons at North Metro for about six months now. He has learned so much and his skills are growing beyond my expectations. They are very professional and friendly. My son takes electric guitar lessons from Dan Polizzi. I can't say enough about Dan. He is extremely child and adult-friendly. He has a love for his work and it comes through in each and everyone of his students. My son looks forward to every lesson each week. I would not think of going anywhere else and would highly recommend North Metro Music Academy.
